Wow, how boring is that?! ;)

 

I think it looks fabulous.

However I use Waldorf Attack 2 and that gui really is boring.

How about you post a gui that you think doesn't look boring then for a comparison?

*Looks at my gigabytes of kick sample libraries and goes "meh".*
Somewhat interesting though. I can see more of these modular rack-typed VSTs coming along soon-ish from several companies.

 

The logo and size of it is a bit much for me, design team kinda OD'd on the grainy thing. Looks like it has some cool qualities. Would be nice to see a comparison of this and something like rob papens punch/gua audio/sonic academy's kick plugins

 

The GUI looks gorgeous.
Too bad it's only dedicated to kick drums, it would have been a different story if we were talking about a drum/perc synthesizer instead.

 

I'm with Baxter on this one. However, a nice modular synthesiser from D16 would be far more interesting. Maybe this is a kind of an "intro" to a D16 modular synth? It sounds logical that they release an Roland/Doepfer A100 type of synth plugin. I'd really like to see that.

Since this is only a kick drum synth, I'm not really tempted to demo it, or even "try" it, if you get my drift.

 

Bit heavy on the overall grunge but still a great looking job on this.

Do i need it? Hell no.

+1 on the grunge design overkill. The gui looks like you could get hepatitis from staring at it too long.

Why did you assume, I was talking about the GUI? I wasn't! I was refering to the whole idea of a Kickdrum Synth Module in general. Your Song does not prevail or fail based on a Kickdrum…

 

I see that D16 is preparing to fit nicely into the Slate rack

apart from that, but seriously, all of this for a kick ????
- what do You need for a piano or vocal than ?!?
