I like to have some pro music to compare my mixings/masterings to. Which trance music do you consider ace concerning mixing/mastering?

Stuff from Underworld is great but that's not strictly trance of course.

I'm no trance fan, but I do love music. I really loved the Armin Van Buuren intro to Imagine, I mean, the first track, the way the track is built... Check it out! ;)

Labels : Platipus (before 98-99), Bonzai, Superstition, Suck Me Plasma, etc...

That's all stuff from 90', i've always thinking that trance from 2000 are just loud kick on happy lead (more dancy), while old school trance was more "mental" but that's just my opinion ^^

For more new style trance, Adam White 'Ballerina', Li Kwan 'Point Zero' or Armin 'Communication' (early 2000 i think for the most of them).

Try Soulseek, you can find everything you want with a lot of FLAC files...

There are some sites like AudioZ for electronic music mp3/FLAC but Soulseek is the best solution in my opinion.

If you want to buy them, you can go to Discogs, you can buy a lot of rare stuff (vinyl & cd).

 

A hint?
