Hey guys,

Just managed to get my hands on a lovely sylenth skin! Unfortunately I dont know how to change that hideous original one they give u, so anyone with the knowledge would be most welcome here! ;)

These are the original instructions i got, but they sound a bit wierd..



For MAC:

rename every image tha contains the PNG to BMP
(at least i think)
into your components folder select the sylenth component and press ctrl + click / show pakage contents.

contents/resources

replace original files with the png renamed.

 

Which skin is it Bro?

Maybe a few others might "enjoy" it.

I don't know if the original instructions you got "sound a bit weird" to you... but they are correct ! *yes*

The only advice I can give you is to make a backup of the original replaced files (images)... just in case you want to revert to the original skin, or you'll to re-install the original plug-in to get it working as its initial state.

The best way, in my opinion, is to create a second folder (e.g. on your Desktop) named exactly as the original one you want to replace where you put all your "customized" images (PNG, Bitmap,... ) without forget to rename each one as the original ones, then as previously mentionned make a backup of the original folder, then place the second created folder in place of the original one.

The next time you launch your Plug-in, it should to work properly with your customized images. ​

To Install Skin:

• Locate the VST file in: Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST
• Right Click (Control + Click) on Sylenth1
• Select 'Show Package Contents' from the sub-menu
• Navigate to Sylenth1/Contents
• Replace the folder 'Resources' w/ the included 'Resources' folder
