Hopefully I can now stop my Win 10 from crashing 20 times a day

 

I stopped my windows 10 from crashing easy I reinstalled windows 7 and it hasnt crashed since

is Win 10 really that bad for DAWs ?

 

Cant say for sure but when i was using win 10 for my autodesk and adobe photoshop was terrible kept freezing and crashing,
My specs are intel 15 4690k cpu 32gb 2166mhz ram 500gb ssd 3x 4tb seagate hdd and 2 gtx 780's graphics cards,
it might be old by todays standards but it works great for me, they way i see it if it isnt broken dont fix it. As win 10 is still new (ish) there are lots of bugs in it, and most drivers arent available for win 10 and i never update my pc

 

So glad I have W7 on my new pc, (which came with a W8 disc, that I never even opened, much less installed). That OS ran on my old AMD pc for 6 years...No problems on either pc (so far with the new one too), other than something stupid I'd done, so I'm pretty happy...

Never intended to have W10 at all...

The old pc had an AMD Phenom II 810, 2 - 1tb hdd's, & 8gb RAM...

The new pc has an Intel i7-4790, 2 internal 1tb hdd's, & 3 external hdd's (one is USB 2.0, & the others are USB 3.0)...The new pc is a beast compared to the old AMD, I wouldn't have believed it before I got the i7, but it literally smokes the old AMD...

 

Just finished installing 10, hope it isn't a waist of a few days... having to re-install and days of updating 7 again, fingers crossed

I thought that was the goal, make it crash..
run it at 110% cpu, way too many hogs open, low ass latency, and spank it like a B*@%# until you see the popup "we're about to crash, soldier"

right?
