Kind of true, but let's not forget they have sales like every two days it seems. So if you wait a while and look around, you can grab them for killer deals.

 

yes sure. they re good, but as any standard a bit pricey.
I prefer to buy UAD stuff, anyway

 

UAD stuff miles ahead but slightly unfair comparison as they powered and also pretty damn pricey themselves.

I do agree they much better but a the most fair comparison would be running maybe say running Waves thru eMotion LV1 with ethernet but I ain't paying 5000 just to try lol
I imagine they work much better in such conditions and it a totally different ballgame so is all comparative I guess

 

yes and of course the UAD hardware costs money

Waves CLA stuff doesn t sound worst than UAD's 1176LN, LA2A and LA3A to my hears, anyway

 

Yeah UAD do some real nice plugins & emulations that a lot of others don't some are real nice indeed

 

And for the price of waves .... With UAD You have coupon sometimes ... Waiting a little coupon and buy With coupon and price i buy this week neve 33609 for 49 euros and what fucking compressor ... So happy with

 

Yeah but with Waves it's literally every weekend like 4 plugins are dropped to ~$40 from ~$150. Every weekend. Plus on BF or summer sales you get like half of their stuff at that discount, and for BF they put out freebies every year. And it's not like guys at NI do, give for free, then release "XT" version for $99, and $49 to upgrade from the free one. Guys at Waves just give one of their plugins out free, and after that it's still sold, still a perfectly fine, supported plugin.
