haha - rock on!

I listened twice.

Not my sort of thing, really, but I easily listened to it all. It kept me interested. I had no idea where it would go next and it goes all over the place. There's an excellent energy and wildness to it. I don't think I can give you any advice. I enjoyed listening to it as the 'wildness' is just so.......odd. And good. ;)

But as a listener, where's the bass? The high stuff has great energy but the bass is lacking. It'd be significantly better for some, surely. And, actually, even the high stuff could do with more high. Isn't this supposed to be attacking my ears? Put an exciter on, or turn it up. Ease off the bass EQ? Raise some of the higher end EQ stuff?

The snare(s) could do with being more complex to my ears - maybe it's a genre thing but sometimes (esp at the start) it sounds too simple a sound. The start sounds like a repeated sampled snare - blend a few snares together, maybe? Add a slightly changing filter or flange or something?

And the end obviously isn't a proper end, is it?

Personally I like the single note stabs on the synth (melody?) In fact there are plenty of various sounds and motifs and they really do sound nice, musically, conceptually whatever. But they could certainly sound better - to my ears (on my equipment) they need to sound "more". I want the highs higher and I want quite a lot more low. A greater sense of space in the quieter more restrained bits would be nice too and alongside the surging parts (were they more bassy and more trebly too) would make a significantly more moving experience and greatly enhance the track, imo.

I really enjoyed this track. It isn't quite my thing but I do love to hear energy in music and I hear it in this. I'm going to listen to it again.............

[Yeah, I really do like it - it makes me smile. But I hate that snare at the start. It's brittle and simple? That aside it's bloody good.]
