Yes alright, ban for this, ban for that. Some people clearly have to much free time on their hands.

Man, grow up instead of initiating stupid polls no one really cares about.

    I haven't "unveiled my purposes"

Apologies for cracking that joke. (although the MAC forum is actually less popular)

    My gripe is

3 pages of posts under torrents that read

    MAC Please
    MAC Please
    MAC Please

    Rapidshare please
    Hotfile please

    "Totally different unrelated thing" Please

    FFS

Most things come out on the day they are released

Do these people thing Strong Sound is busy cracking Nexus and other plugs as we speak

Those guys sharing stuffs do a sterling job of sharing.......... as soon as the stuffs come out

    BUT

    MAC Please
    MAC Please
    MAC Please
    MAC Please
    MAC Please
    MAC Please
    MAC Please
    MAC Please
    MAC Please

doesnt speed up the MAC release. ITS FUCKING SPAM

and pushes away useful comments or funny comments

but if the plug is functioning incorrectly
or someone has posted any info or changelog
or someone says a funny comment

the 'relevant' comment ends up on Page 3 of the comments

    page 1

    MAC Please
    MAC Please
    MAC Please
    MAC Please
    MAC Please

It's not about Mac or PC. It's about brainless people who don't THINK. Anytime, anyway we ALL want something, but we are not begging for the very same thing someone else has just been begging for in the previous messages. It's just a question of common sense!!!. Incidentally, this happens mainly with Mac people... Why?. Several ideas come to my mind:

    1) They don't know how the scene works. After all, many of them (NOT all, of course!) got a Mac "because it's easier", and they apply the "don't make me think too much" philosophy to other areas of life. Don't get me wrong; some of my best friends are GREAT tech heads and awesome persons and they use Macs!.

    2) They may want to show Mac people are a percentage others should care about. We do. Be sure. I have a Hackintosh, for instance... ;)

    3) They don't know we are NOT cracking the software. I mean, it's not just a question of asking here and it gets cracked. The groups decide. Some of of us may have some kind of connection with them, but the Net has plenty of places where to get the stuff (I'm at about 12 of them or so).

    4) Reminds me of people asking for MU links after it died. Or the same with FSo...

So, do we have to blame someone on not knowing about something?. Definitely NOT. ***BUT*** we DO have to blame him/her on not being empathic (i.e.= not thinking about the others). After all, we are a COMMUNITY...

My very best wishes to *ALL* of you (yes, also to the brainless ones -- I hope one day you'll start thinking!).

    :grooves: :grooves: :grooves: :grooves: :grooves:

    UPDATE
    ------

@google: I agree 100% with the way you THINK and show your ideas, using pure logics and explaining, even graphically, the reasons why.

@Kokaboo: you rock, as always XD

@Rotten Az Hell: No way. It's not fascism. In case you don't know, your freedom has a limit; your freedom ends exactly in the border where other people's freedom starts. Same here. We are a community and whatever you do, you don't have to annoy others... just a question of common sense. Here's the BIG question: what would happen if we ALL asked for what we want in the same thread???. I'll tell ya: a hundred pages of crap non related to the post itself and non-informative. Be sure of it. It's not fascism; it's logics!!!.

Also, after rereading this full thread, there's something that still shocks me... Between...:

    1) "Oh well, this software looks awesome. I've been browsing the company's website and reading about it. Now I have downloaded this Windows version and I'm trying it on my VMware Fusion [Parallels Desktop, VirtualBox, you name it]. It looks cool. I'm happy for the Windows users and, at the same time, eagerly waiting for the Mac version to be out here!."

    and...

    2) "Mac please"

There *IS* a difference. The person in 1) shows respect, is empathic, investigates the program and, incidentally, is a Mac user waiting for a Mac version. The one in 2) is just a beggar who shows no respect to others and doesn't even care...

Note this. HOW is also a key issue.

Lets be real -- you posted to the PC section, because clearly your intent was to rally the PC folks against anyone requesting a Mac version (and you wouldn't have gotten the same level of support posting your rant in the 'Mac' section). This is an old argument -- and I am appalled by those whose intent is to insult others within this community based on their computing preference (Mac vs PC) -- grow up. I say we ban users based on their negative impact on the community as a whole. If you are so offended by the annoyance of these 'unwarranted' software requests -- perhaps you should present your case to the site administrator. Posting inflammatory comments here does nothing to bolster a positive growing community -- In fact, the result will likely prove quite the opposite. While I agree that many of these requests are redundant, I do not condone the ban of any community member based on a question, query or request. It should be understood by all community users however -- that AudioZ has no direct control over the release of posted items, nor do they honor platform specific requests. Perhaps all thats really needed is a reaffirmation of the site RULES (here as well it seems), and an explanation regarding the 'request' procedure for all systems, platforms and users.

    YES!!! Exactly...

And this is obvious. But doesn't seem obvious for some people. And these people don't have the right to spam and REPEAT over and over the same requests. it's NOT about Mac or PC. It's about poeple who don't care about trolling others with useless requests again and again....

Same for "Rapidshare, please" or "AssUpload, please" requests. Same.

And YES, there should be some kind of rules about this non-sense lack of empathy. We are a community.

google is damn right. And THE SAME is true if people spam a Mac version thread with "Windows, please" requests, three in a row. So it's NOT about Mac vs Windows (which is a stupid war, because both OSes have its ups and downs -- although I've been with Atari ST, DOS, Windows, MacOS and Linux(-es), I'm more a Windows-head, but I LOVE all of them).

    One good thing would be:

That {we} the contributors could have the option to clear comments or spam in our own threads. It could be useful since some (known) people come to AudioZ only to moan, rant or even insult. Those poor minded folks think they are in advantage only because their real identity is hidden, so they act with disrespect. If we had the possibility to delete, much fights or griefs could be stopped.

well i agree that begging is not cool and very undignified, considering the incredible wealth of stuff already available on all platforms.Sadly though you can try to educate people about how the scene works but many people appear unable or unwilling to absorb basic facts, so your'e left with a choice...you either find a workable method of removing offending posts or you simply learn to ignore these things and move on.

    I don't agree. *no* *no*
It would be the best solution! And would eradicate all spams and spammers.
As thread starter or sharer i would appreciate the option to clear all useless comments.

*no* NO – only stupid posters would do it!
But the level of tolerance is in each person different.
Though a too liberal site gives all kinds of idiots and abusers an optimal platform
and channels which they then use to offend people openly.
It happened to me on AudioZ! And those individuals should keep their mouths shut.
