Hmm, all I see is empty post. :dunno:
Anyway, my all time favourite would be Music of the Spheres by Mike Oldfield.
And best recorded one, probably Brothers in Arms by Dire Straits

Subjective of course & depends on taste. My own personal faves "Joe's Garage" Frank Zappa / "Powers of Ten" Shawn Lane / "Axis Bold As Love" Jimi Hendrix

    Too many choices

Are you meaning to solicit concurrence with your opinion of the album you posted as "best ever," or are you inviting members to post their assertions as to "best album ever?"

If it be the latter, then:

I remember seeing Butthole Surfers live back in the late 80s, it was pretty chaotic to say the least. I'm sure Gibby Haynes set fire to his hand.

Best album ever and favourite album ever are two very different things, of course.

@Andrew: Donald Fagen - The Nightfly. Another great and well-done recording on the then-revolutionary Sony 24 track PCM DASH recorder.

But why pick a "best album" in the first place?
    Isn't music about variety?
I would say there are many best albums from different artists.

I think Pet Sounds did the most for the progression of music.
