VST icon whisk mystery

    does anyone know why the icon for vst plugins is a (european?) power plug with a whisk?
    why a whisk???

    That is a very professional whisk, but a very lame plug ?!?

    btw. never saw that icon... is it from windows ?

    no this is in my vst folder on my mac. about 90% of my plugs have this icon, some plugs such as ones by klanghelm use custom icons.

    The power plug since it is a plug-in
    Perhaps the whisk is a reference to mixing....
