Beyond that... I really couldn't even tell you, to be honest. It's been a long time since I've sought out rap music to listen to. It's mostly gone down the shitter with the exception of a couple guys.

2) The mic is a Shure SM7-B. It just looks weird because I removed the windscreen and put a conventional pop filter in front of it. If you're really getting into it while rapping plosives can be a real plague.

fuck u both have the same voice, so hard to tell especially when the video came along it made it more confusing. I thought the first one was you, then when you actually came along I remembered you were the one with the deeper voice.

But your both looking much sharper than that picture you have on soundcloud lol! Especially your brother :D

As for the music and the rapping, loving it as usual! I love the production and sound, would like to see you finish that and wanna hear it!

Two years apart. But yeah, I used to have a noticeably deeper 'rap voice' but we've been ironing out some kinks in his performance and he's really finding his voice and delivery. Gotta get that chest into it and relax your throat (pause).

Always love hearing the SM7B (if it is one), I've gotten used to it listening to interviews but never heard one without the pop shield. The raps remind me of Flatbush Zombies or The Underachievers. Great stuff

 

Thanks buddy. Yes, it's the SM7B. I love this mic. I've owned a couple of Rodes, tried a few AKGs, I can't say I prefer anything else I've used regardless of price. The best thing about it is how ridiculously little EQ it requires to sound great in a mix.


Just adding a general note to this comment instead of bumping my own thread here - This place is full of the coolest people. Not because you're saying nice things - that's cool too though. But one problem I'm bumping up against as I start putting my music out into the world is that it doesn't matter how good you are at what you do; it's incredibly difficult to get anybody to give you that first listen so they can even find out whether or not you suck. AS Seems to be full of people who are happy to check stuff out. Some of you guys are friends so that's understood, but a lot of you I don't really know and you're still willing to spend the 3 minutes listening to something new. Fuck yeah to you.

Sounds really good,especially the vox.
Perhaps sporadically add some drum hits to make it even more dynamic and raise the energy of the song,the background has to evolve to a certain point,build it up to captivate the listener even more.
