When the government does something we don't like, we make ourselves feel better by downplaying, denying, or even forgetting our own participation in the events leading up to it. The fact is that we've been trading privacy for convenience (and security), and we've been doing it for decades. It begins with the so-called 'private sector' when we happily sign away rights on things like loan applications. Fine print? Look at my sweet ride! Also some job applications, and definitely our internet and mobile services. If you're a Facebook or Twitter fanboi, you don't even belong in discussions about this.

The next time you think the government has gone rogue, you need to look in the mirror.

From now on I'm using the Internet only for reading the bible passages on the Christian webpages.

    That was a joke. :hahaha:

    What I really meant is...

There is an interesting correlation between the government, any government, us, and anal fisting. :hahaha:

There's no rules when it comes to spying. And whether it's on paper or not.. a person still has to become "important" enough to be pursued. One thing about the government not giving a fuck about the people is they don't give a fuck what most of the people are doing either. The majority are flattering themselves for even believing the government is eager to see what they've been up to. The government needs shit like this to pass so there isn't a loophole for the big fish after they arrest them. To the other 99 and 9/10 percent.. the reality is they don't give a fuck what you're doing.

Correction: Fascists rule in the USA.

Capitalism is a system where you are allowed to reap the gains of your endeavors, and are obliged to bear the losses when they fail. Fascism, also known as corporatism, is when corporations and financial institutions amass obscenely huge amounts of wealth through borderline fraud, and then have the taxpayers bear the losses when their schemes implode. This is where we are right now, it is beyond obvious. It is definitely not capitalism - calling it that gives capitalism a really bad name.

It's called Globalisation of you want to put it in 'friendly' terms. Some may call it the New World Order.
