So I have a habit of bidding on all kinds of random audio gear on eBay. Two weeks ago I was the first to place a bid on this bad boy and forgot about it.

On Monday I got a notification saying I won an auction. I checked it and I won for 1 cent.

The unit was used for church service but has been in their storage for probably decades.

I picked it up today and for a 30-40 year old mixer it looks pretty clean. (I havent been able to find the actual date of this model, any help would be appreciated) VU meters light up and needles move. Has all pot and fader caps, wood sidings in decent condition, even the wrist pad is mint (minus some tape residue).



Now being that it was being sold on behalf of the church and the proceeds were probably going to a good cause (and I'm "muslim" and therefore didn't want to spontaneously catch fire) so I gave the guy $10 (before you say anything, thats 1000x our contractual agreement).

My plan is to first test it, and hopefully find at least 8/16 channels and one bus working properly. Later maybe replace the opamps but I plan to use this as an extra gritty 8 channel summing mixer and not for tracking so depending on the circuitry that may not be needed.

Humanity doesn't require you to be religious, it only needs a thinking mind and a good heart.
It's like a doctor who treats everybody whether muslim, christian, jew, atheist, criminal, pagan,........ without asking who you are actually! This is what I have learned throughout my medical career and now I feel home everywhere. Everything else is superficial.

I used to use 2 of them as my sub-mixers for my keyboard live setup back then, watch the noise levels, the front end is noisy. Not a great issue for live gigs back then but in a studio environment it may drives you nuts ;)
