Can someone list all the places I can (try) and release my track for free? What are all these things called BMI and other stuff I should learn about? Basically what does a bedroom producer do to try and release his tracks and start at a grass roots level? Please no negativity I never claimed to be a know it all or expert producer. Thanks for your time in advance.

You know I wouldn't be so stupid if people just answered the dam questions.. Now since no one answers these idiotic questions i'll have to ask again and be called an idiot twice, maybe 3-4 times.. If someone just answered my stupid question I would not ask again.

No serious label will release you unless you have at least an EP material (3 good tracks + 1 headliner track). They need a warranty that you are not a "one hit wonder" and you can provide fresh tracks on a regular basis.

So what's what after the first track? Make more tracks, pack an EP then try to pitch it to a label.

As always, there is no easy way, but as long as we commited to do the necessary effort there are always way(s).
I think this book can be a good guide to answer your question:

Thank you sir! Ok 1 good track and 3 decent ones... So I should try to go through a label instead of release myself?

Why should you try to rely on someone else when you can do it all by yourself?

If you have big boobs or a cute ass, may I suggest you play it the Lana-Del-Rey-(and others who don't say it)-way.
It's free and you get top-level quick attention.

Well firstly theres bandcamp, only really works if you have some sort of following tho. I would recommend researching labels and and if you think its good enough send it too a few small labels to begin with, not every label is after a full ep too begin with, alot will do label samplers so one track is enough for them

This guys was banned. No words
But there is a lot of good suggestions made by other members that might be useful for someone having the same question in mind.
I suggest keeping it alive if you know places and ways for indie releases :)
