Omega Transformer

If I’ve got tracks that need more vibe, more color, and less of the fast, sharp transients digital is famous for, Omega Transformer plugins are my weapon of choice. Transformer plugins are extremely cool on their own, giving my VI’s, loops, and found sounds the character of carefully chosen, boutique analog circuits.

When a Transformer is used on tracks recorded with the Omega Preamp, the effect is quite stunning: a dead-on replication of the original hardware’s sonic signature. This is not “sounds kinda like…” this is “sounds exactly like”.

Transformer plugins are very simple to use — just turn the Intensity knob and a lovely, distinct flavor unfolds. The resulting Transformed tracks mix easier, sound sweeter, give EQ’s more mojo to extract, and feed compressors a rounder, punchier transient to play with.

The result is, to my ears, a truly magical Transformation.

or maybe there is no benefit in protecting their software with iLock, because it is now iUnLock..

they still imply ilok authorization, but not the dongle.

Was a huge achievement and I agree in that I wouldn't as a DEV pay huge fees for such a protection that is poorly implemented whether it be iLoK or the software. They seem to blame each other. I don't know enough about protections to be able to pass judgement on that but definitely credit goes out where it is due

Personally I think iLok is on it's last legs but who knows i'm sure they will come up with some iBlock, lightscribe dongle with fingerprint scanner or something ridiculous that uses 50% of your CPU.

The manager can be bypassed anyway via various methods we have seen i.e new flux plugins that utilise desktop location etc.

I don't know about these things in depth but I can't imagine devs paying out a fortune for such a protection as you say

yeah, you need an account still. but thankfully unlike previous kush/slyfi releases you don't need a dongle

Is it wrong that, in light of the ilok being cracked, when I think of all the business they lost by being dongle only i think "good"

I wanted that drum compressor whose name I can't remember because screw that.

 

It probably means soft iLok. Just no hardware dongle required. As in all of their products.
