    Hi to all!

I don't know anythinig about it, it's the first time I try to use it. It's a working non-legit version.

    1. I get only N.Y. - Avatar in the choices... this means that's the only drum kit sounds I have, right? If I want some others, I must install?

When N.Y. - Avatar is loaded, it works, I hear the sounds.

    2. The Presets menu is empty, is it normal?

    3. Once in a while, I get the alert message: "You need to set the path to where you installed the sounds before you can use them. The N.Y. Avatar SDX is included in Superior 2 but is not currently available for use on this machine. You should probably install Avatar and/or use the 'Add path to library' button on this page to browse for it."

When I do so, I get "you have already have that Sound Library".

Where exactly should get the path? The SL-Avatar folder? The Sounds folder?

    Thanks a lot!

you have to go to the settings tab and then tell the software where the library is installed

N.Y. Avatar is the default kit that you installed with Superior Drummer 2. You can install other SDX kits, or you can open any EZ Drummer EZX kits you may have installed on your computer in SD2.

I don't think N.Y. Avatar has any presets. If I'm not mistaken, you can load the included "sample projects" via your "Load Project" command, which is more or less the same as opening a preset, just not as convenient. You can also buy or find preset packs for N.Y. Avatar.

N.Y. Avatar i think has a separate midi menu all the Toontrack drum stuff both SD and EZDrummer live in the same folder where ever you decide to put it or tell SD2 where it is... the SDX kits normally come with midi files and are installed automatically when you instal the kits SD2 will also use EZdrummer libraries as well both kits & Mini files. :)

Each time I open the plugin, I get the message I gave you earlier.
"You need to set the path to where you installed the sounds before you can use them. The N.Y. Avatar SDX is included in Superior 2 but is not currently available for use on this machine. You should probably install Avatar and/or use the 'Add path to library' button on this page to browse for it."

Where is the right path to the sounds? In the SL-Avatar folder? In the Sounds folder?

I tried both, and I get the message "You already have that sound library"

    There's something wrong.

    Thanks!

Well, I kept trying (feeling like I was always doing the same thing), and I stopped receiving that message. Seems OK.

I just noticed: you never mentioned which OS you're using. If you happen to be using El Capitan, you might experience a few problems, especially if you installed SD in El Capitan. This may or may not entail you having to switch off SIP (Google it; too complicated to explain here) so SD has access to its libraries. I remember having quite a few problems with SD and EZDrummer 1 inside El Capitan.

I'm getting to know SP, but I still don't know what is a preset exactly?

    Thanks!
