Recently my ableton has been dying during heavy projects ;lots of VSTS, tracks etc. This had never happened on 9.5 and before that. Currently on 9.6; It will only crash if I had some vsts to any of the tracks, or if I export the project. It crashes indefinitely.

Not sure if anyone knows how to decipher this. Trying to find the problem

EDIT: I managed to diagnose this myself. First off, if anyone on Yosemite with 9.6 is experiencing crashes recently, I'd recommend doing what I did. First I went into my VSTS folder and sorted the files from most recently modified. I had a cracked copy[may be the reason] of some waves plugins, the ONE KNOB SERIES. These are problem VSTS, and don't play nice with Live. Likewise, see whats new that you've added it, and remove it. That's what I did and my project is now working flawlessly.

Try updating to 9.6.1 or going back to 9.5

 

I experienced more crash with larger projects in after updating to 9.6 32-bit. Moving to 64-bit resolved my issues.

Do you really expect someone here to go through your crash report?
My advice is to email the report to Ableton for an accurate diagnosis and a proper solution if you haven't already done so.

 

The crash report is encrypted and can only be opened by ableton. Plus, it contains personal information such as license information. I wouldn't post it to the public.
Could you be more specific as to when the crash happens exactly?

 

Right when I export my track. It doesnt happen on any other track just this one..
