Hi Guys, this is my first post here.
I am actually using ARC2 in my DAW(please no discussion about its meaningfulness) and I am looking for a
way to run every audio output trough it so that I also profit in general listening situations besides from mixing.Google tells about different options to do so, including VST Host and some other, but I just wasn't skilled and persistent enough to get it working. Anyone has a solution ? My Soundcard is a RME Fireface UC which unfortunately doesn't let me insert VSTs in its Mixer Channels.
Some guy here posted some months ago how he is doing that, but I just can't find the thread again, I wasn't registered at that time and had problems with account confirmation, so I couldn't reply. Now I just can't find that thread again.

thx for any response a priori.

    You need this and winamp.
Download , install both (winamp first) and go to DSP out in Winamp setting.
Load 32bit version of ARC. Done.

Just asking before i install anything new.

    OSX or Windows ?
Under OSX you can use Sound Flower and AULab , Or AudioHijack.
But be warned, there will be additionally Latency.

Under Windows I have no clue.

ARC 2 is not a regular EQ as far as I know, it also deals with phases and delays

Yep, not just an EQ. There's a ton of phase correction going on as well.

VST host addon allows you to load VST32 plugins in winamp, so you load normally ARC as it is.

Sorry, dont wanna sound rude cause your are helping me out, but is my question so hard to understand ?
I wanna put the ARC somehow at the very end of my System so that every sound thats is replayed goes trough it.
Your solution goes in the right direction, but as expected, only for winamp....

I have been using VST Host and its perfect, you will also need Virtual Audio Cable or VB-CABLE and make that as your default windows output and set the input of VST Host to that. A small delay will exist.

Hello and welcome to the forum. I think I am the guy you referred to in your post. I was using a program called voicemeeter to combine the PC audio and insert a VST host on the outputs.

    http://vb-audio.pagesperso-orange.fr/Voicemeeter/banana.htm

I used BloXpander by eaReckon as VST host although any host should work.

Although this set up works, I found that I was still having trouble getting a grip on my transfers. After I discovered the monitor FX in Reaper, applied globally for all projects, allowing you to hear Fx in the monitors, without rendering them. I went back to tuning my monitors with pink noise and 31 band graphic Eq. I am getting a truer response now and better transfers.

I have 8 input audio interface that lets me to route the PC audio out of the computer back into Reaper on extra inputs to hear all the audio through tuned monitors.

This might be the post you seen. https://audiosex.pro/threads/mixing-room-acoustics.22704/

Hope this helps you. Feel free to pm me if you have troubles, or need more information.

    Hey Burninstar.

Yes, that was the thread! I was hoping you may shout out here, nice that you did so quickly :D
I´ll try your suggestion tomorrow, I'm already too tired now.
I'll let the forum know if it works for me.
    thanks

Sorry dude, didn't read the post carefully.
So what i do is using the power of RME, make an internal loopback from TotalMixer and send it to my DAW with the input channel or the master loaded with ARC.
Actually i have a template set like that so all i need is to just open my DAW everything is already there.

Try to set default sound channel for windows for example 5+6.
Careful to have the master always down!! it can damage your hearing and speakers a nasty feedback.
Now go to TotalMixer and activate the 3+4 loopback.
go to master and set the channels so you can listen the loopback and not the direct signal.

It's one time setup and to make you life easier, make your daw start at windows boot, so you have nothing more to do.
Now every sound plays from your computer will pass though ARC.
