I have this. Works fine on Windows 10. I thought that I had an issue at first with crackling, and a lot of people had similar issues - but it was really easy to fix and came down to windows and the multiple levels of drivers. I just had to delete all usb and usb 3 drivers and clean it out, then plug in everything so all drivers were up to date. Others have reported that specific usb 3.0 drivers don't work at all, so you should do that research.

Now that I'm up and running, I'm blown away. It comes with a lot of WOW factor, and the button functionality to move from headphones to monitor is amazing. I came from an AKAI EIE PRO, which was broken right out of the box, so maybe its been really easy to be blown away.

I work in the box only and
don't get full use of it, as I don't record any live instruments through the Console, but I tested with some mic recordings and unison through the console and into the DAW, and there is basically 0 latency. I have no latency issues until I turn on my mastering chain, but then just switch the buffer size to 2048 for mixing and mastering.

Also, some of the plugs are really top notch. You know there's thousands of compressors out there, but whoa - you find your go to. It can become addictive with the plug ins (think pokemon) and some of them are just meh, so try all the demos.

I give it 10 out of 10, and I'm looking forward to getting a USB3.0 DSP box when they come out so I don't have to bounce everything to audio to save DSP!

    Have fun!

    Hi Mariano,

I have the twin duo USB for windows. It is a usb 3.0 connection, but some manufacturers of the usb 3.0 bus connections (such as the manufactures listed in the link Shadow provided) have caused problems, so its best to make sure that you have the right motherboard and usb 3.0 ports before buying.

I have it and I'm on Win10 without any issues. Couple of things you might want to consider if you're looking to pull the trigger on it:

If you're already a UAD user, you know the plugins are awesome. In fact, its really the main reason I bought it. Don't get me wrong, the unit itself is well built and very high quality, but at the end of the day its a closed system. Keep that in mind because once you start investing in plugins, you're basically stuck with UAD, thick or thin. And that shit can turn into a bad marriage without warning. Ive spent a small fortune on UAD plugins over the last 12 years, but unfortunately I was unable to use them when I moved over to a laptop a few years ago. When you invest that kind of money in a company and they hang you out to dry like that, it fucking sucks. Suffice it to say, I was pissed but not much I could do.

Luckily, things have changed and I'm stoked to be able to enjoy the plugins once again but I'd be lying if I said it didn't leave me feeling a little bitter. UAD dissed Windows user for a while there and even though they've made up for it with a great audio interface, it leaves me wondering if that sort of thing will happen again.

My two cents, if you're just looking for a nice audio interface and want something comparable, pick up an Audient iD22. I've owned it and it is outstanding. But if UAD plugins piqued your interest and you definitely want to take the plunge, you wont be disappointed with the Twin Duo USB. By the way, one thing to note is that the Twin Duo does not have a loopback function so if that's important to you, you'll definitely want to look somewhere else, or use a program like VoiceMeeter to work around it.

@ravejanitor how about this thread popping up just now.. I got my Win duo just 2 days ago...
and right off the bat got the crackling just using it as sound device, not even in the daw.. so I will be reading
your post more closely for how to resolve..

one thing that hacks me right off.. I did the due diligence on this thing for months or up to a year.. and I got a custom plug-in
bundle only to find when I went to get my RE-201 space echo, that all the Roland plugs have been discontinued,
i.e. UAD didn't wanna pay up for the licensing anymore due to the popularity of these plugs ( ok speculation )
I saw absolutely nothing publicizing this fact anywhere since it became so, about Sept ( ? ) last year...

so...now I have no idea what additional plugs to get, and I don't even have ONE that I actually wanted.. it just made
sense to do this because the space echo alone was $250 if I remember correctly, cannot say for sure....since it's
    NO LONGER FOR SALE :bash:

    This!!!!

kinda you read my mind on the things that kept me from buying one.

yes much of the reasons behind buying a UAD are the plugins, and if I have to be honest I wont be using the live recording things, I dont do live recordings , anyway I guess that its a nice things to have just in case

i was looking at the UAD stuff because the plug ins are so highly reviewed but the concept of investing money in not owning software but buying a limited time access to it is just insane when you think about it. so i have been sticking to hardware because hardware will always hold it's value and no company can come to my house and stop telling me to use it.

plus it's way more fun to turn a knob with your hand rather than a cursor.
