I'm selling my macbook with preloaded software. Only thing is this ishhh is not orignally bought by me. Now I dont want to be judged. I'm just a young musician trying to pay rent. How do I convince buyers its legit.

software is Adobe premeire, photoshop and after effects cc
ableton
waves
and massive
everything works flawlessly. Buyers just keep asking if I will continue to pay for the subscription. its none of that going on. I just made everything work without that.

 

Just to make sure we understand what you're asking:

You want to sell a laptop loaded with pirated software that you trick the buyer into thinking isn't pirated, and you're asking us how to keep the buyer from being able to tell it's all pirated?

 

reinstall the OS and stop trying to jack up the price for software you didn't pay for. I get it, you're trying to pay rent, but that's not the way to achieve that.

What MacBook are you talking about? Is it a MacBook Pro or just a MacBook?
Because used and depending on it's age will determine if you can make rent! Erase the whole thing and I'll buy it from you for $400 (USD) but it better be 2009 or newer!

Morality aside, it's difficult to convince anyone it's legit. People that do know bit about PCs/Macs should be able to figure it all out quickly. As you said, I'm not judging you, but consider the immense risk you're getting yourself into. Buyer could report this to the authorities and then you'll be likely asked to pay fines far exceeding your rent. Just not worth it.

Furthermore I don't think you've chosen the best title - "Help me sell this!!!!".

I believe it is clear, but as far as I understood in a few months in this forum... people here hates sellers; they all run under the try-before-buy moto, but they despise the making of money out of it. For short, wrong place to ask; recommendation, do as they are telling you, hard reset, factory install, and sell it like that.

No one has time for this kind of shit, and if they do, they're not going to give you an answer you're looking for. You're basically asking which is the easiest and best way to fuck someone else over. you are a f..in criminal. I wish i could know your identity to pass it to the police. I sold all the macbooks pro of my life (8) with pirated software but i was clear it was pirated and so it wouldn't have been an additional price.

And more than all, your music is surely horrible like you are. A scammer cannot be a good musician. Ethics counts. Never try to make money with warezed stuff.

Morality and legality aside, and speaking partly as a buyer and seller of used Macbooks, myself, it is best if you wipe the drive and do a "clean" installation of the OS without software not bundled with the OS, but offer to "throw-in" software installers (on DVDs or some such) as inducement but not as part of the price of the hardware.

For one thing, you should wipe all data pertaining to yourself from the drive (erase it fully, then install the OS). The buyer might even want to do the same thing, just to be safe or because he/she wants to upgrade the OS or tweak it his/her way. At the very least, this ensures that the buyer isn't buying some virtual life-baggage (nor any bugs). Let the selection of software you offer to sweeten the deal be up to the buyer, which makes the deal seem even sweeter (someone might lean toward MS Officee, or Adobe stuff, or music-making software).

 

why don't you sell only the software and keep your mac?
in that way you can sell more and earn more.
if you burn some CD with pirated stuff on you can push it in the train stations, just look at nerds who walk while listening music and approach them... money guaranteed.
