I like heart beat but frustratingly doesn't work well with drum racks. Very interesting i wonder how it will compare to R6.

Authorized Doepfer and Intellijel modules. Reaktor is just random bits and pieces by random guys.

Loving the look of this! Piss poor demonstrator though, but if the Doepfer emulations are high quality, this could be pretty immense!

I like it but it's a flipping huge CPU hog for a drum machine!!!!

From what i've heard it sounds not so different from reaktor blocks, which does have much better ui for patching + can be used as an audio effect + has a giant library of free third party blocks+ you can program or fuck with modules. I do like heartbeat though, let's see if the modules will sound any better than reaktor's available.

Looks like the most interesting non-Reaktor idea so far, but probably only good for educational purposes or for someone that wants to have access to very basic modular sounds but having it on a laptop or in the box is more important. Softube has been making some very good sounding stuff in the last 18 months. They are really giving the other developers (like NI) a run for their money.

Overtime there could be some very interesting modules developed for this I bet. But I wonder how much CPU power it takes to run interesting patches?

Not sure about the educational purpose only. With most people not having the space nor money for modular setup, if it sounds good it could be great. Being a plugin would also potentially open up a lot of extra creativity and automation not possible with a hardware modular setup. It all depends whether it has truly qualith emulation of these hardware modules. It probably won't have the tone and depth of hardware, but should be more than usable for professional sounding productions if it is done well. To me it will depend on whether the Doepfer and Intellijel things are just licensing and endorsements for extra exposure for them, or whether they have done some truly exceptional modelling of the hardware circuitry.my primary concern is that the price is so low and reasonable that I'm hoping that is not an indicator of it simply having the hardware module names but being rubbish and budget emulations no better than other stuff out there already. Like @ClaudeBalls said though, Softube have been doing some great sounding stuff in recent years and no doubt having the licensing of some of their guitar amp models with Reason 8.3 will have brought some extra. Only and knowledge in to help improve things further one would hope!
