Credland Big Kick/Romero Kick (I always use seperate Kick-tracks), Battery in Ableton Drumracks, Ableton Drumracks incl. many from Ableton Packs (e.g. The Beatdown and many more).

My default production template has a drumgroup with a Kick-track, a drums-track for midi, an audiotrack for tops loops, as well as 2 SC-tracks for sidechaning; they are routed to Waves Factory Trackspacer or Melda Productions MAutoDynamic).

I find the same with AD... sounds to me like even without any effects, the kit sound already too processed (perhaps the way they record it or the PA they used?), while BFD sound as clean as it can be. The way I manage BFD's cpu consumption is by not using presets, only the drum parts I need and adding them on demand, not processing anything (I mix in stems, not before) and as soon as I have my drum part layed out, freeze track or bounce, and put bfd to rest or deactivate it.

I've got them all... and I still, consistently go back to the most easy and logical to use (for me), most versatile and best sounding with most available (and USEFUL) expansions... Superior Drummer 2. I'm also on LPX

AD2 : better than EZDrummer 2 (was my 1st choise) and easier than BDF3 (nice UI but drummer oriented) and not so expensive like SD2.

Ableton Drumrack, easy to control, functionality like ni maschine as software, easy to customize soundbanks and fast switching through 4x4 blocks

Included even in Ableton lite for 15€

I use AD2 or fxPansion Geist for electronic drums.

There use to be a way of getting a 'lite edition' of Geist for free (Perfectly legitimate) below, BUT I have no idea if it is still possible.

http:// bedroomproducersblog.com/2014/06/06/fxpansion-geist-free/ (I'm not sure if this link is allowed so take out the space between / and 'b')

Simpler/ Sampler/Impulse in Ableton, its the best.

still search for the pitch and fine tuning in the new version (Ableton 9), guess its pretty obvious.

Ezdrummer for a start, Superior Drummer for mixing. Occasionally Addictive Drums comes in handy, too. NI's Studio Drummer is great but too cpu-hungry. Going to test SSD next. Big Fat Drums also too cpu-heavy for me. (Core i5, 16GB RAM)

You have a sh!t load of very good drum kits with Logic's stock sounds and one of the best drum synths around: Ultrabeat. Learn that beast and you'll never ask for a different drum synth again.
