Guns are back together after 23 years.
I love it,brings back memories.Never thought i would see them perform together ever again.
This is live footage from the Troubadour.Tickets were only 10$.
    Sounds really good.

The reunited GUNS N' ROSES kicked off its much-anticipated concert at the Troubadour in West Hollywood, California Friday night (April 1) just after midnight with a one-two punch of "It's So Easy" and "Mr. Brownstone".
Joining singer Axl Rose, guitarist Slash and bassist Duff McKagan on stage were keyboardist Dizzy Reed, guitarist Richard Fortus and drummer Frank Ferrer. Also appearing with them was second keyboardist Melissa Reese, an up-and-coming pop/urban artist who studied classical voice and piano from adolescence.
The concert featured Slash performing the songs "Chinese Democracy" and "Better", from GUNS N' ROSES' 2008 album "Chinese Democracy", live for the first time.
Despite widespread speculation that "Appetite For Destruction"-era GUNS N' ROSES drummer Steven Adler would appear as a special guest at last night's show, he did not perform at the gig. Neither did Matt Sorum, who replaced Adler in GUNS N' ROSES and recorded the highly successful albums "Use Your Illusion I" and "Use Your Illusion II" (both 1991) and "The Spaghetti Incident" (1994).
A source close to GUNS N' ROSES told LA Weekly that Adler is having back surgery, which is the real reason his band ADLER canceled its April 1 show at the Whisky A Go Go. The LA Weekly writer claims that he has "also been told [Adler is] not ready to tour with GN'R, not yet, and maybe not ever."
The setlist for last night's concert:
    01. It's So Easy
    02. Mr. Brownstone
    03. Chinese Democracy
    04. Welcome To The Jungle
    05. Double Talking Jive
    06. Live And Let Die (Paul McCartney & WINGS cover)
    07. Rocket Queen
    08. You Could be Mine
    09. The Godfather Theme (Slash)
    10. Sweet Child O' Mine
    11. New Rose (THE DAMNED cover)
    12. Better
    13. Knockin' On Heaven's Door (BOB DYLAN cover)
    14. My Michelle
    15. Nightrain
    16. The Seeker (THE WHO cover)
    17. Paradise City

Video footage and photos are available below.
GUNS N' ROSES reportedly landed a contract with Geffen Records after a show at the Troubadour, which has a capacity of around 400.
Prior to last night, the last concert Axl and Slash played together was on July 17, 1993 at River Plate Stadium in Buenos Aires. The last incarnation of GUNS N' ROSES, which only included Axl from the original lineup, played a residency in Las Vegas in 2014 but has remained silent since.
GUNS N' ROSES has six more concerts scheduled in April: two at the Coachella Music And Arts Festival, two in Las Vegas and two in Mexico City.
Slash told The Pulse Of Radio a while back how his relationship with Axl disintegrated during the final years of the original GUNS lineup. "His sort of m.o., as far as the band was concerned, over time got so exaggerated in the rock star sense or whatever and he became such a dictator and this and that and the other, that it was impossible for me to work with him, because I'm not the kind of person that takes orders, you know," he said.
GUNS N' ROSES on Friday announced details of its summer North American tour, which will see the band performing in stadiums. The trek will begin on June 23 at Ford Field in Detroit, home to the National Football League's Detroit Lions, and run until August 22 in San Diego.
The name of the tour, "Not In This Lifetime", apparently refers to the response Axl Rose gave to a TMZ cameraman in 2012 when asked if there is any chance of GUNS N' ROSES doing a reunion tour with the "full lineup."

If they were to do a whole show of Charles Manson's songs, I would care.

You know, I think knowing when to stop is a very valuable quality.

The Guns are certainly a hard rock legend, but Axel isn't the same. He's old and he's lost most part of his singing voice.

With all due respect that these guys certainly deserve, I feel a bit depressed when I see a 53 years old Axel struggling to pretend he's a young boy in his twenties.

The same goes for Ian Gillan, Robert Plant and many others. There's nothing wrong in growing old. It's the most natural thing in the universe. These guys should try to adapt their musicality to their current vocal conditions, in my opinion, instead of trying to be a caricature of the giants they once were.

ugh he sounds so screechy and some parts of that clip sound out of time.

  7. I saw Kenny Rogers a few years ago when he was about 74 or so. He reinterpreted the material he had performed 35 years earlier and was just incredible. As an artist he adapted to his strengths and was in many ways even more adept at his craft of storytelling in which he utterly is utterly fantastic in the traditional southern, down-home style, we share the same common ground kind of way he has as he invokes himself. An amazing show by a great artist, perhaps the gentlemen in GnR could sit with Kenny for a spell and learn a thing or two. I saw Guns n Roses in the Madison Square Garden in 1991 and was blown away by the incredible flurry of high energy that was generated on stage by Axel and Slash, the both madmen running and climbing around the stage at full throttle for an hour and a half. The songs were powerful in their own right and I hope that they realize that this far on down the road that they might wind up being hapless caricatures of themselves, and I am specifically concerned for Axel. Slash need only stand there and blaze or finesse his classic licks on a Les Paul and have us grinning and going, FUCK YEA, but Axel needs to sell us, and I don't mean like a used car salesman.

i m not sure but i think they tuned down another half step to help the greatest moron in music history to sing, and they already wered tuned a half tone below back in the day. This trick simply sucks with guitar based music, elton john sings two tones lower than he did when he was young and nobody notices or care,do it with guitars and u screw up everything. At least led zeppeling on celebration day had the good taste to rearrange their songs to suit plant s voice, rather than simply tuning the guitar down

I Heard that axel is replacing Brian Johnson in AC/DC. So I don't think the GNR thing will be anymore than a few shows for a while. The only albums from GNR I like are the first and Lies anyway.

This is GnR lite more then half the band is Axel's version of GnR . sorry no Izzy and at least matt Sorum on drums this is just a huge gig for money, the price was right to get Duff & Slash on stage to play the songs. If they make it through all these gigs they got booked ill be surprised. Ive seen the real deal many times this aint even close to that.

this is just for other old farts ( such as me ) to reminisce , sure let them make a few bucks,
and cast off a few more scratchy sparks

before they start wearing depends diapers , changed daily by their personal nurses...

I have been impressed that Robert Plant has held up pretty well for the years, and Aerosmith also in latter years have had
some pretty decent "past the prime" tracks, Jaded for one, but alas even that is now many moons ago...

    Some good news. Finally.

  16. This one is a little better audio quality. Axel doesn't sound as if he is 33, but not half bad considering the time and experience he created for himself.

Axel has been on tour for a year he should be in top form and he is, he sings exactly like he did back in the day. but i can hear Izzy aint in the band, Izzy Stradlin is a great great great rhythm player. Richard Foetus is technically good but kinda sterile Izzy is all vibe and was always the x factor in GnR's guitar sound. I grew up with GnR when i say i went to a lot of there shows when they were gigging in Hollywood. mind blowing every time i saw em. its a pity Adler fucked himself up with drugs and booze. even though he can play now. it be wicked to see him on stage again with this band and Izzy . that something i could get excited about. although this is kinda cool for what it is . the fact I never thought id ever see this happen. Looking forward to festival season this year in Europe.
