We could discuss forever about it
Our manifest never says that all things created by the company should be available to all possible customers.
Our manifest says that we have a solution for all people, which is not the same one for everyone, and it depends on knowledge and time available.Pearl is a limited product in limited quantities. Using knowledge there are way for replicating it in different ways. For example you could sample it using our tools. Using emerald and several tricks. H olonga libs. And so on. There are more than 600 libs for nebula. You don't need exactly everything

i know this reply wasn't direct for me but here is something that i don't understand very well...

why make a limited version of a SOFTWARE that you can sell many more than the limited number .... since you guys do this for the money too...

well i know you guys get this vibe of "well this is a exclusive release " not many folks will have that and so on... but in the end you loose money...

since many other folks would buy the eq even if it wasn't that good... some folks support a company because they like the products...

and i think i never saw that "behaviour" from another software developer... im not against you guys i just don't get some marketing moves... the main question is just a simple why?

but... guess what that's your product and not mine... but i just don't understand and i believe im not the only one...

hey even hardware is not that "exclusive" imagine if they create only 100 units of a 1073? ... c'mon man this is software...

Will the Weirdo knows what he's talking about.

I have no idea why people claim it's "a workflow killer", it's a lot less of a workflow killer than using most of the gear it models by running physical cables in and out....

CPU use is low by modern standards, unless you're running off some kind of budget laptop, the reverbs are very CPU intensive, but the EQ and Saturation use less than some recent plug ins, much less in some cases, and you get the sound you want in seconds.

The compressors are not so great, some of the packages give the tone of a compressor incredibly, but the actual compression itself, not so great. The low end boost on the EQ's is a lot better than most software, try it. For me it's best for Tape/Mojo/Saturation and EQ, the reverbs are beautiful but not very tweakable and they really are CPU intensive, even compared to modern Reaktor Blocks ensembles, much more.

Yep, Acqua is Nebula 4, just with a pretty skin to improve the usability, but the device being sampled is going to be the main influence of the sound. The sonics of Nebula will also vary depending on the company doing the gear sampling, IMHO Alex B is the best, and his libraries are killer. HO, Tim P, Cupwise, CDSM, Acustica and STN all sound good.

G, are you really opening this can up again? Should we just Skype and have it out, lol?
What language would it be in? I have the advantage with English, my German is rusty and my Spanish is bad, but in progress, lol.

Personally, I see no point of "limited edition" in intangible things (like digital releases). Please some customers and piss off others when you could have it all and earn more money on top of that?

But hey, what do I know :/

Just remembering that limited edition of software are mostly because the companies buy a system protection in chunks or the rights for use other software, like Sample Logic that needs to pay to Native Instruments for release a product that is Kontakt Player compatible.
Thanks WillTheWeirdo for the best topic in Audiosex!

Where can I get these skins from? I have logged in into my account and couldn't find any new skin. Are they changing automatically when loading a filter or reverb program?

i think this is from NEBULA 4 (preview)

by the way you can use a similar skin if you have the nebula server ultimate edition the last release... you wont see that NEBULA 4 write on the gui until they release nebula 4 ... they are working on that atm

It's still in development, rumor is they were finishing up Core 8, that now makes Nebula compressors now work like normal algo comps, for Nebula 4. They just released Pink trial (API) with Core 8 and it's actually a great channel strip, the compressor now works like an algo, but sounds like hardware, killer on drums and guitar. Nebula 4 with Core 8 is gonna be killer..... whenever they release it, lol.

After 5 minutes of Pink use...... Finally!
    Hot DAMN! SHAZAM!! BATMAN!!!

We finally have a compressor that not only sounds like hardware but also WORKS like hardware. I dialed up Pink on some drums that needed some love, in almost no time I did exactly like I would sitting at Zacs or Interscopes Boiler Room to my kick and snare, I'm in a giddy kind of shock, lol. This is hardware in a plugin, in my lifetime, lol, wow.

I want to be the first to officially congratulate E & G at AA for making the first true in the box analogue style compressor. If this is what Core 8 will be bringing to the table, DAW Pro audio will never be the same.

As April first was always the official start to the new year, AA have started it off with a BANG.

Champagne for every AA team member.

Just download the Pink demo, 10 days of bliss await you, unless you really dislike API, lol.

Several times I wanted to grab an uad card with a few plugs, but I always end up emptying my cart, before the checkout. And the reasons are always the same:

    - besides the 1 or 2 discount vouchers buyers may get throughout the year, most plug-ins cost 200-250 euros and above. That is a lot of money. Try to get one or two from each category, like the best reverb, the best compressors, the best channel strip, and it's 300+. insane, no matter how faithful the plug-in is, that's A LOT of money.

    - just like all the hardware solutions, you can't be sure you might be able to open a project, within 5 years from now: the hardware will certainly die, after a few years, and if for some reasons you can't buy a new card, you're screwed.

    - uad cards are so underpowered, that UAD are forced to display their plugins/cpu charts at 16bit/44.1KHz, which really is fooling users : WHO, among professional users, is mastering/mixing at 44.1khz/16 bit? Specially during mastering, people easily work at minimum 24bit 96khz , or much higher. Thus, if UAD was serious and honest about their cpu /instances chart, they should divide everything by 2 or 3, in order to have a realistic and honest instances-per-core number.

    - many plug-ins are almost unusable without a quad or octo card, 1 or 2 instantiations of a plug-in, and that solo or duo uad card have no power left

    - uad uses cheap and slow dsp processor models. For the price people pay, they could easily stop the solo and duo versions, and only offer quad, octo, 12 and 16 cores. I can bet next UAD3 cards won't have the solo versions anymore.

    - bundled plug-ins are not enough. 4 classic plug-ins offered when people spend almost 1000 euros? Wow! Those are classic compressors, ultra light on the dsp. They could offer 2 or 3 'expensive' plug-ins, even with the solo or duo cards. Virtually, those plugs cost them nothing, it's just a serial and activation.offering the same 1176 plug-in that everybody already own, tens of versions as accurate, like waves ones..is really cheap.

    - we can't buy plug-ins if we don't own a card: once, I wanted to use a 2day promotion, like 50% or more on some plug-ins, I wanted to get them, and later, I would buy the card : NO, we must own a card first.

    - not a lot of plug-ins. I wish they made their own plug-ins, new effects, etc, instead of only emulating stuff.

    - at the end, shouldn't we rather buy a Vienna pro 5, for 250 euros, buy a cheap 400-500 euros PC, with a cheap AMD FX cup, and have a remote system that will offer much more processing power than a solo or duo card, not even talking about the uad 350 euro plug-ins. ..?

too bad there is no competition. Powercore is over. Uad can do anything they want, forever.

about the 'hostile'... many people here would make some fantastic dictators. If you think different, or say something not 100% correct, you would be lapidated. That's why many people register, post 2 or 3 comments, get criticized, are taken for stupid idiot assholes, , the old members laugh and laugh, murder them and each one of their sentences... they leave, and never post again.

I don't intend to fuel up a fire, but I've just bought the UAD 1176 bundle, 3 units that you are claimed to be faithfully modeled, at least they are officially certified, at $25 dollars through coupons. Who can beat that? The same way I've bought lots of stuff through discounts at ridiculous prices. UAD stuff may have a high cost entrance ticket, but they thoughtfully offer sales throughout the year. Every year. And the price you pay buys you a top notch unit with premium converters and well crafted units.

How'd you get the demo? I just signed in (at Acustica) and didn't see any sign of a demo. Not in my Dashboard either. If you tell me, I'm betting it'll prob be something really obvious that I missed.
