    Appreciate the link, but I'm specifically looking for a "rusty trombone". They sound a little "funkier" than your typical trombone..

    No. The so-called "urban" definition is pretty graphic. I must have been living under a rock because I had never even heard of that term before. Oh well...

    I've search around for this "rusty trombone" with no luck. However, Sample Modeling developed a pretty good trombone (Trombone 3). However, you do need to use a breath controller, and most likely an expression pedal to get the full effect though. I suspect that with the breath controller, you'd be able to emulate that illusive "funkier" sound you're seeking.

    My favorite is Sample Modeling but you could also try this one.

    I whish it would become a VST itself.
    With it, you can position the instrument anywhere on the stage ...
