Hi! I'm sorry if this has aldeady been discussed, but I couldn't find anything. Just wondering if any of you guys have done any research on skinning Omnisphere 2. I think it's a fantastic plugin, with a dead ugly interface. It looks like it's from 2005, or something. I opened the .component-file (mac au), and I was shocked about how easy it would be to create a skin (well, apart from beeing very time consuming...) and we all know there are people out there who are gladly putting their effort into this, for logic, zebra etc, you name it...

Would be nice with a real skin change, though. Not just change color scheme... The faders and fonts look especially awful. I wish we could get the same team or person who did the "massive modular" skin for zebra 2 on this. That would be awesome.

Copy the files from this folder and replace the ones in the Resource folder inside the plugin. Don't replace the folder. Good luck!

I have no idea how windows plugins work, though, sorry. I'm just lucky that the mac au plugins are as simple as basic folders. But if you can crack open the vst, I bet you'll find a folder with all those pngs that you can replace with these.

I only posted the red one for proof of concept, so others can be inspired to do a better job than I did...hopefully.

I understand, that this was not an actual "stylesheet" but an experimental one.
But anyway interesting enough.

I think the problem is, that Omnisphere hasn't named the files one needs to change in an appropriate way. So you need to analyze each .png and change it to get a clue, what the file stands for. They are only numbered. This way it is a (too) huge effort for just changing the colour scheme.

No? That's why they have their own website where they are selling their skins. It's fun to project implications...
On the other hand, chances are that Spectrasonics would have to authorize any commercialization of a 3rd party skin, which I doubt would happen, since they seem to be happy with their Photoshop Guru, and that they may have chosen to go with the atmosphere look not only for reasons of personal taste, but for recognizability.

Since it's based on Atmosphere's GUI, you are unfortunately right: They didn't really care about the GUI...

There are a few utilities running on Windows that allow to extract the resources from the DLL but from the look of it, I wouldn't dare to change anything there:

Especially, I have no idea if replacing a PNG (therefore changing its file size + MD5) can be done without the need to modify anything else inside this DLL file.
