Hi, I really need help getting rid of the click at the beginning of my sound (an 808 kick) when using Live's sampler. It's playing quite a fast pattern at 172 bpm but even the longer notes have clicks at the beginning of them (or maybe after??).

There is a click in the repetition of the sound along a 1 note bassline. I have tried using a long attack, long and short release, having only 1 voice in polyphony, retriggering notes option, turn everything else off apart from the envelope and check the length of the notes to make sure they're not overlapping. There is a still a click!! I don't understand why!

Thanks to anyone who can enlighten me to the simple solution (I'm sure it's very simple) and I can get on my merry way with creating the track I have in mind :)

Edit: Sorry. I gave one answer, but re-read your text and saw that you had already tried it.
So...here's another suggestion: Have you tried a lowpass filter on it all, to remove the clicks and automatically "adjust" the attack and release envelopes?

The clicks are due to the rapid amplitude changes when playing low sine waves.

Maybe you should share that kick sample, I just try 808 kick with fast pattern and I have no problems with click.
Maybe a sample is bad, has no zero crossing correct etc...

I just tried ragging sampler hard with an 808 and couldn't get any clicks so I can't help :(

I do find that camel audio alchemy and fxpansion synths click like mad and I always find a slight increase in of attack, bigger increase on release and a gap between notes (1/32 to 1/16 bar at roughly 120bpm for example) stops the clicking.

Aye, I tried making spaces, longer attack, all the usual things. Perhaps it was bugging out on the particular sample.

    activate snap feature?
the envolopes are a bit clicky i know. i found Impulse better for kickdrum as Sampler/Simpler as the Env are better in my experience.

Yep, tried that as well! Nothing worked! I was using a particular sample and I wouldn't have been able to synthesize it myself
