    Hello everyone!

I was just wondering if anyone knew of a way to emulate what AudioEase Speakerphone 2 does in the following video...

I am unable to find a Windows version of the program, so I just wondered if anyone might be able to help me out with getting this very distinct sound in Ableton Live 8.

    Thanks in advance!

well.... there is the bleedingly obvious solution ;D
feed the track into an old vhs recorder with a well worn tape and record it then play it back into live?

Someone knows which preset of FabFilter Twin 2 he uses ? (Or maybe is it not a pre existing preset ? In this case how to recreate it ?)

I managed to recreate the Speakerphone preset, but can't find that sound in Twin 2...

I'm sure there's a way to create an impulse response (IR file) of your favorite busted ass sounding VCR that would suffice.
But, if there is a tool already out there (AudioEase Speakerphone) that already does exactly what you want -- why fake the funk
Post a REQ at your favorite software camp or save up the coin and nab that bish ! Otherwise yeah, grab an old VCR or beta machine,
an old video cassette -- and patch it in !

just use the VCR!!! seriously....u can get an old hi-fi VHS for $5-10

I do it...I bounce all my mixes to VHS and back into my DAW and it is the single best addition to my setup hands down...

It does something to the sound...don't let the detractors tell you otherwise.

I used to do the same with (bounce tracks to tape) an old Pioneer RT-909 (Reel-To-Reel Recorder)

Like I say, at some point, I totally plan on doing that. But at this moment, I don't have access to a VCR (I'm not anywhere near my home studio, and wont be for quite a while).

Oh, and you're totally right, it adds that certain warmth that's hard to beat.

I just had an "a-ha" moment.... I am pretty sure this effect can be duplicated in Sonitex STX-1260...if not...awfully close

Will be back with my findings...

Actually, like loscolorados said....v1 and v2 are nearly identical and the VHS preset works with v1, I just verified....Good to go...
