STILLWELL Bitter v3.0.3

​

Bitter shows how many of the available bits are being used by the audio signal, reports clipping samples, and estimates when digital-to-analog conversion would cause inter-sample clips. Typical uses for a bitscope include: verifying that a render dither is working properly; verifying that a particular plugin is not reducing the signal bit depth; testing for faulty audio source data.

Ample Sound Ample Bass P Lite II

​

Ample Bass P Lite II is a free feature-limited version of Ample Bass P II, which is part of the developer’s Bass Series product line. This freeware instrument contains a lower number of samples (443 instead of 2,851) and less round robin variations (two instead of four) compared to the full version of the product. The note range is also shorter in the free version (D1 – F4 instead of B0 – F4).

It's a freeware mono auto swell effect in VST and AU plugin formats for Windows and Mac based host applications (both 32-bit and 64-bit hosts are supported).

HY-Plugins HY-TP

Tremolo/Panner effect, it's freeware for VST/AU plugin host applications on Windows. The plugin also features a couple of filters (high-pass and low-pass) without an adjustable resonance parameter and, for the first time ever in a HY-Plugins release, a real-time oscilloscope display (which, unfortunately, can’t be scaled or tweaked in any other way); this one is also testing of re-sizable user interface.

EpicMStudios Dimension Plus

It is a freeware room reverb VST plugin released by EpicMStudios. This is a very simple room reverb effect and that’s exactly what I like about it. There are only three parameters to work with: direction (which basically stands for stereo balance), size (short for room size) and the dry/wet mix knob. Obviously, Dimension Plus is not a jack of all trades when it comes to reverb plugins, but it’s a great tool to use when you’re in a hurry and you need to quickly dial in a bit of reverb.

J-Hud-Studio Vocal King 2Knob

So this little guy... Long story short, Vocal King 2Knob has 2 arrow knobs to turn. 1 for the Pres Compressor and 1 for the DB output. Turn up the Press knob and set a good compression to your vocals. Then set the DB output to a lower level to match your instrumental. That easy! This plug is an offspring of the original Vocal King plugin with just 2 controls instead of many. I done this for those who wants a quick fix to mix vocals with an easy interface. The other controls on this plugin are set at define parameters to get a generic presence sound. This 32bit/64bit plug is free to use. Enjoy!

NOTE!!!! The 64bit is not in stable mode (SynthEdit’s experimental 64-bit export feature). It is a BETA version. Don't complain if its not working for you. But please test. If you want, please email me what bugs you notice and the DAW you are using

If you are starting out, and you want to get a head start on the competition, if you want to be chucked in the deep end, with your tender noobie hands held by a long time veteran of the game, then go here, pay homage to one of the original G's in this game (and go there even if you think you know it all, coz you probably don't) -

You will have your mind and your whole outlook restructured to be able to look at things from a new angle, afresh, anew, aghast at the possibilities it opens up. Really, you need to start thinking in frequencies. Forget about music, tones, harmony, everything - chuck it out the window. There are only frequencies. And non-frequencies (i.e. silence).

If nothing else, grab some of those vsts for free. I can guarantee they make sounds that are not available anywhere else, paid or not.

All music is movement of air. Everything can be broken down to sine waves. Hell, I even got into a bit of intermodulation distortion theory along the way, and what's more, I nearly understood it! That pdf is for noobs and professionals alike. Everyone can take something from it.

It would also be nice if a few people bought a plugin or two as well from the dev, who really does give so much for free. Just so he can feel like his work is important, that he's not just pissing in the wind with it all. He's not a going concern marketed and measured money maker. He's one of the guys that made vst happen from way back in time. He's been around the block, to hell and back, in fact, and he's still here. Let's show him a bit of love and say thanks.

If you can't splash the cash, then just crack on with downloading the 100 or so he gives away for free.

MuTools MuLab 7

The MuLab zip packages below contain the complete product. Without a user key MuLab runs in Free mode. By inserting a user key MuLab switches to UL mode. The differences between MuLab Free and MuLab UL are listed on this doc page. When you cross the limits of MuLab Free, you'll regularly hear a soft noise.

From late 2008 until 2015 I published a number of VST plugins for Windows under the whiteLABEL brand - studio tools for musicians and producers. Whilst they were reasonably popular and regularly went out on coverdiscs (ComputerMusic, MusicTech and TechFocus Magazines) they were never any great commercial success. Over the years I made 'beer-money' from them at best, but a change in European VAT regulations in 2015 effectively put me out of business as I have neither time nor resource to administer the back-end accountability processes required of VATMOSS (effectively putting me on equal-footing with the likes of Google and Amazon vis-à-vis reporting and record-keeping, and I'm a one-man-band folks ...).

It has three parallel chained bandpass filters. The structure is based on MAM RS3. Those filters can be modulated by LFO and Env Follower.
