Maybe you should've thought about that before creating something for an already oversaturated market. There are way to many synth plugins out there and the established ones are hard to beat.Your plugin doesn't bring anything new to the table hence, it's not really worth any money.I paid thousands of bucks for software that I use frequently because I support those developers, mainly small ones. These developers created plugins that are unique and very helpful and deserve to be paid.

Hi synthmaster you only look the bad side of the coin.

how many people now know your (probably average, I didn't test it yet sorry) products?

You think warez is bad attitude and kill the market, I tell you that only the bigs suffer from warez thus cubase, etc has good piracy protection, and you don't.

You can only take advantages from warez. do you think ADS is free? try to pay for a campaign then tell us.

When you make money out of music, and I mean real money, not 15 bucks or something, one will buy the software he used in this piece of music.

How many of the users here do really make some serious money with the sample libraries and softwares ? I think maybe 5%.

So all what happens is that a bunch of kids (and adults) get creative for free. There are much worse things happening on this planet.

It's supposed to be buried, since it's a 2011 thread that was revived in 2016. The undead thread was put down, but you brought it back to life again in 2018 with your dark posting arts. Brace ourselves...

    Wow.

Wwll ,lemme tell you sumthin ,that applies to my own ass specifically..
I make not one fukn penny outta anythin i program.
Nor can i truly afford ,even the cheapest o fukn plugins.
I paid for my original copies o fl/cubase/abl...and a tonne o hardware in the past..

    But now...these days..

    im fucked.

And pretty much just a hard up Bum..."buskin"

i come here...coz its my only choice...
And the support etc o course ...."thought id dig myself outta that hole"

Id argue ,that theres a few different walks of life amongst all of us tht use such sites !!

Yes Yes ,Pathetic a story maybe...Unbelieveable in this day n age? ...Not really! ..

Just as i dont know your story my friend!

    You do not know mine..

Nor my honest n well intentioned reasoning behing such usage !!!
    "Try before you buy".

And if i were able ...I would indeed be putting my hand squarley into my pocket to purchase my goto plugs.

and i do tbh...just not as often as id like too!!

    financial restraint is the reason

    Not deception

    The usual good vs bad.
Society don't work that way. Sadly.

In so-called "developed" countries, salaries and jobs are going down every year since the 70's (you can check in your country, it is easy).
In so-called "in development" countries, salaries and jobs are going up ... but still not enough to provide a big "consumer" bump.

So WHERE is money for the ppl ? I would be HAPPY to buy everything i use. But it is impossible to me. And not only me.

Global growth is maintained by artificial money, spread by central banks (FED in USA, BCE in UE, Bank of Japan...).
This money end in big companies pockets ... not mines. And so, create a virtual "companies growth". But consumers are already down and counting their coins.

There is NO growth, only artificial money injections all over the world.
Central banks are not going to inject money forever.
Seen Dow Jones recently ? It is only the beginning.

It would take me much more space to go into great detail with my point of view than available on this forum.
So I will cut to the vitals. Fuck you and the intellectual property rights you rode in on.
Math and music belong to every and any person.
You want to make a thing that cannot be used by anyone without them paying you to use it?
Go build a goddamn house and sell it.
But arrange some one's and zero's then tell me you own that arrangement?
I couldn't give a rat's ass about any argument you or anyone else can put forth regarding intellectual property rights.
    Simple as that.

To all, consider the age of this topic before posting and whether there's really something worth saying after all those years. :dunno:

...let me add this Andrew... meanwhile audiodeluxe and pluginboutique came in and I must say I never dreamd to buy some of the Waves plugins... since they opened I bought quite a few... most on sale at 29$ or more... there are always sale there but the small developer can't do sale like that because they are just a small team ? this is bullsh*s*t... waves aren't small?... cmon cut the crap... and not only waves... anyway... who cares I'll buy what I can afford and for the rest I trust in miracles like R2R V.R and all legacy there was

All I wanted to point out was the age of this thread and that quoting someone from 2 years ago might not be accurate.

To me there's no such thing as this mythic "lost sale" even, just an increased audience. Seems like devs will continue to shoot themselves in the foot, by attacking potential customers. On a par w/ wrapping their products in malware, calling it "protection".
