    Hi everyone

For the last couple of months my Omnisphere copy started to behavce in a weird manner. I need to wait 30 seconds for the plugin to load in Studio One 3. Choosing presets is also very sluggish to the point that it's impossible to work with it. I don't know what happened because it was working fine for a long time. In an old Cubase version it only takes 5 seconds and the preset browser works much faster
Anyone who had the same problem ? What cold be possible solutions ?

Im having same issues, especially with clicking thru the browser in all sections... presets don't take as long but the main sections on left.. takes forever to change those from one to another.

    Omni 2.1 + Win 10 64 bit, all DAWS.

Any solution would be brilliant, thought i was losing my mind.

The only thing i could figure was that the size of my library with all the 3rd party add ons was over some size limit.

My Omnisphere folder alone, without Trillian is 63.1 Gb

It kills the workflow so much...I already switched to my hardware synths again. But I'm missing the huge sound library.
I just cleaned my pc, installed new geforce drivers, still same issue.

That seems really excessive. I'm going to time it with a stopwatch, and let you know the results soon.

    Start up time:- 31 seconds

    I loaded up a 65mb preset in 3 1/2 seconds

However, it is STILL quicker than this site loading up with the new ESET Internet Suite 9.

I'm pretty sure the '9' is German for 'no' hence, NO it wont load the site up any quicker. I dunno, I guess it's been a long day.

For me I was having similar issues with Omnisphere 2.0...d and S1 3.1.
2.1 and 3.1.1 fixed majourity of the lag, Omnisphere itself loads in about 5 seconds, navigation is a touch slower than I'd like. Presets load same as Omni 1.

I have OS and plugins (including Omnisphere) on one SSD and the omnisphere library on its own second SSD.

I may or may not have tinkered with the Pre-Load memory size and Num bytes per read (I did in 2.0 but I think 2.1 reset them)
Also I have disabled my Page File so that I'm actually using my 16GB of RAM

Hey guys, I have the same problem. Would be cool if we could figure something out.
    Some data I gathered:

    Omnisphere2 Start Screen.JPG
    Omnisphere2 Diagnostics.JPG
I compared loading times and RAM usage in Studio One V2 and Studio One V3 (latest version each)

    S1 V2
    empty Song RAM 155MB
    with Omni RAM 817MB
    loading Time Omnisphere - 4.5sec
    changing presets - immediatly
RAM unloads immediatly after closing S1

    S1 V3
    empty Song RAM 260MB
    with Omni RAM 1260MB
    loading Time Omnisphere - 36sec
    switch categories - ca. 3sec
switch sounds - ca. 1.5sec (only GUI is slow)
sound itself changes immediatly (checked while playing on the keyboard when switching sounds)

RAM fully unloaded and application closed after 18sec in TaskManager

    System Specs
    W7 Ultimate SP1
    CPU Xeon E3-1231 v3 @3.40GHz
Samsung 850 Evo 500GB SSD (System and STEAM folder)
    RAM 16GB
    MSI GTX 750Ti
    MB Gigabyte H97-D3H

As you see, loading times in S1 V2 are pretty fast and it's a legit version.
I have the slow loading times in V3 since the first version. The updates didn't fix it. V3 is not legit because I don't want to upgrade my license when I can't use my beloved Omnisphere.
A friend of mine don't have that problem and he has V2 legit and V3 non legit, too.
I have no idea how to narrow down the issue.

i have the same issue in Cubase

there is a lag on loading

lag on choosing libraries but presets in a library are instantaneous

this is all in the left sidebar area, in browser its the same but using arrows seems faster then clicking on a preset

ironically when selecting Multi's its all instant

Tried something stupid: Took the 32 bit version that was installed for Cubase and wrapped it with jbridge, loaded the whle thing with Studio One 3.2...guess what loading time 10 seconds instead of 30, preset change is immediately

There is something wrong with the 64-bit version of Omnisphere

Edit: Updated to 2.1 --> still 15 seconds until it loads. Patch browser just as sluggish as before
    Jbridge version is still faster

It has always been slow for me too. On two different middle of the road computers.
Gonna try that Bridging trick Rectifier mentioned, see if that does the trick.

Win 7 x64 omni, 61Gb lib loads in 8 seconds in studio one 3.2.
Win 7 x64 Stylus RMX, 68Gb lib, loads in 4 seconds also in studio one 3.2

In cubase 8.5, onmi loads in 4 seconds and rmx in 3 seconds.

I prefered it when computers took ages to load anything, i always had time for a cup of tea and a bacon sandwich before i had to start working :)

    FL Studio x32, Windows 10 x64, Omnisphere 2 x32 load time 13.15 seconds.
After you load the buggy plugin once, change the plugin processing settings as following:
    Only for FL Studio users:
    Enable :Allow threaded processing.
    Enable: Use fixed size buffers.
    More->process maximum size buffers.
This should noticeably reduce the load time and cpu usage for omnipshere 2.1.0d, spire and serum.

    Open an instance of Omnisphere2
    Go to the 'system' Tab
Turn off 'Switch to layer upon activation'

It cut the load time in half for me.

    This was in Ableton 9,

EDIT:- Now I'm not sure, because I switched it back on and it is STILL loading in half the time. 15 seconds instead of 30. Very weird.

    Just tried it, no difference.

Since the 2.1 Update Omnisphere in Cubase is stupid fast: 3 seconds startup, and you can browse through the presets like slicing butter, I really don't get it.

I think something is wrong with S1 V3. Why it uses at least a third more RAM than S1 V2? Have you guys checked the RAM usage?
Still have to try it with jbridge and in a different host.

Here: Win7/64, S1v3.2, Omni2.1 loads in 6 sec from SSD (new song, sec or two more in a busy project), presets load immediately
