Hello AUDIOZens (cool name huhh)..... :P
Well as stated above, i've taken up a challenge....

I'm gonna state this early-on so that none of you guys start tryin' to rip this thread off.!!
The songs i'm producing are not even anywhere near the ELECTRONIC MUSIC GENRE.... so please don't troll if you just want to post annoying comments....

I've been producing for almost 1 year (still got to learn a lot), but instead of just random producing i've decided to produce this album for my CHURCH so most of these songs will be in the SINGER/SONGWRITER-CONTEMPORARY GENRE.....

So as stated in the TITLE, i've gotta produce almost 18 tracks in this duration of 40 days (i.e. till April 10,2016)....

So a bit about my gear:
    DAW - Cubase 5 (yupzz AiR version :P )
AUDIO INTERFACE - E-MU Tracker Pre
    HEADPHONES - Audio Technica ATH-M30X
    No MONITORS....!!!
    --------------------
    MIC
CONDENSER - Audio Technica AT 2020
    DYNAMIC - Shure SM-58
    --------------------
    Semi-Acoustic Guitar - Givson G 215 Special
Electric Guitar - Givson Blue Diamond

So that's my gear.... Everything else i'm doing IN THE BOX.....

I'm posting this thread just so that I won't back down and will try to post everyday about the progress....
Drop any suggestions or tips or tricks or any specific plugins (only free stuff btw) i should give a try.
ANY KIND OF HELP WILL BE APPRECIATED... :)

    LETZ GET SOME MUZIC MADE....

P.S. - I'm avoiding downloading any cracked stuff from the sister-site simply because i first want to have a legit DAW and that i'm hoping to get after i get some $$$.... Most of the stuff i got as donations from my BIG BRODA/MENTOR Mr. Amol Zedek.... Cheers....

Here's my DETAILED EXPLANATION of EACH DAY.... d-_-b

    DAY 1
    - Decided the key for SONG-01 and recorded some pads and guitar parts....
    - Was a bit confused with the Arrangement, but after browsing through Youtube, i'm having an overflow of ideas... :P
    ## - Important point I noticed was that at often times we may run out of ideas. In such cases, simply go to Youtube and browse through songs and note down bits and pieces which you yourself can use for your production....

looking forward to hear about your adventures.

one tip. Say you are having a "bad day". and you might feel are'nt AS creative as the day before or whatever. just plow thru it anyway. like, 1 st song idea you are working on, and it turns out your not realy "feeling it". just scrap it and start over and beging again.
it might take a few goes untill you feel it "clicks" - but if you "tell your self, "im having a bad - oh im not crative today" then you are setting yourself up to be just that.

Ofcourse there are days where things just arent happening because other stuff goes on in our lives. thatss fine too. go take carre of those things instead so you can come back later and write songs again ;)

Dont get too cought up in "sound design" early on - it can slow down the creative ide/flow,

Write as many "notes" down as posible. we ussuly tend to forget our ideas. even the smallest idea can help save a song, or change it from "not working well" to "omg this sounds amazing"

    Beleive in yourself!
    Never give up!
    No excuses!
    Take action!
    Just do it!
never let fear stop you (from doing anything)- unless you shout YOLO first! :bleh:
    overcome
learn from your mistakes and "failures" - (so you dont have to do them again:mates:)

I'll leave it at that for now:wink:

    :metal:THE ADVENTURE CONTINUES.... :headbang:

    DAY 2
    - Continued the work on SONG-01 and recorded piano parts.
    - Arrangement is starting to take shape. :P
    ## - As stated earlier, the arrangement for this song is greatly influenced by a song i heard last night. So once more, if you hit a BLOCKADE, listen to some music, browse through YT. IT HELPS...

    DAY 3
    - Was not in the mood to work on SONG-01, so decided to move forward and decided the key and tempo for SONG-02.
    - Recorded pads and and chord progressions (piano).
    ## - DAMN DANIEL..!!! :P

    DAY 4
    !!!!..DAY OFF..!!!!
    - Completed watching REthink Guitar by RecordingRevolution. Proved very insightful about how to use FX and MIXING guitars and getting it all ITB.
    ## - C'mon... these are THE FINAL XAMS so spent the whole day studying...

    Good luck.
I love these type of projects.
Mine are usually just 12 hour blocks or 100 tracks in 14 days.Just remember when you need a break, take it.And don't forget to eat.You would be surprised how long you can go without eating before you even realize it.

I did an album of 69 60-second songs in six weeks. I'd felt no "pressure" because it was all beamed into my head by the same entites which cause people who mess with me to have accedents requiring hospitalization. Once one gets started with such a project, there's a snowball effect.

Nothing dumb about it at all.
Setting restrictions/limitations is a good way to push yourself but also be productive.

    Good luck
