The latest R2R keygen should give you the license, if you really need these presets badly try to do a fresh install of the installer from R2R release, and generating again the keys.

VT1 are amazing. Like the sound(especially the compressor part), beautiful for vocals. BTW someone pls share direct link for VUmeter for mac, i have two acounts on Presonus but dunno remember my PWD's.

Cannot agree more! I'm 100% ITB but I like the analog's workflow as well as the simplicity of analog EQ/Comp. Console shaper sound really impressive but I hope it will allow to change the drive for individual channel if needed because the same drive for all channels is a little inconvenient.

ZenQ . Really appreciate. Be blessed. I like Klanghelm and PSP but these not apear in S1 mixer. I want to see S1 mixer like Ardour-ish(Harrison Mixbuss) style.

Sound-wise, the difference is about the amount and kind of harmonics each one introduce. It shouldn't be quite noticeable in preamps, though; They are supposed to be as clean as possible....at least the high-end ones. The coloration effect should be very subtle.

Well, there are no rules. Use them to add a bit of extra mojo to any track, or as a gain-stage tool to hit the internal compressor a bit harder.

VT1 compressor has aprox same behavior like Gemini Kult tube for nebula(http://www.gemini-audio.net/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=50). I cant hear in any vst,s this behavior till now. And the answer is aprox like RMorgan. Tubes has distinctive harmonic coloration than transistors. You can obtain more pleasant saturation(IMO) with tubes, witch work at high level voltage, than low level voltage transistors work.

Hey, it sounds interesting when you compare this little plugin to Nebula. I'll try to taste. But as you said, RC500 will sound kind of "cleaner" than VT1 if driven hard, right?

Another question: What is the difference/usage between "Trim" and "Gain" knobs in INPUT section of VT1? I've read the manual of VT1 and ADL700 as well but still cannot get it.

Channel Strip Collection works here too following HoangMyTr steps.

1. Uninstalled previous S1 version (v. 3.1.1)
2. Deleted PreSonus folders located in C://ProgramData and C://Users/User Name/AppData/Roaming
3. Installed S1 v. 3.2.0
4. Patched and registered with KG v. 1.2.0
5. Added "presonus.ChannelStripCollection.win" folder in C://Users/User Name/AppData/Roaming/PreSonus/Studio One 3/Extensions
6. Added "Channel Strip Collection.license" generated with KG v. 1.2.0 into S1 v. 3.2.0
7. Done!

I'm on Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit SP1

Trim - supposed to be level before preamp, and Gain after. If you need a lil of preamp saturation, you must tweak the Trim knob, to compensate after saturation but before to enter into compressor, the Gain knob must be tweaked. Its your taste how the preamp affect your audio material.


For those who VUmeter wont show up in S1(MAC), apply this in Terminal:sudo codesign -f -s - /Appli.app/Contents/extensions/VUMeter.mac/DSP/mac/vumeter.dylib

Just read ADL 700's one more time:
- Gain: This 8-position rotary switch provides 35 dB of gain in 5 dB increments.
- Trim: This variable potentiometer (±10 dB) allows you to make fine trim adjustments
to the final preamp stage of the ADL 700 input.

I don't know if I understand correctly but from what I imagine, Trim is just the another Gain knob but can be tweaked in a very small step to refine the gain staging and they're both before the preamp...

Correct me if I'm wrong.
