Hello

I have installed this Plugin: Addictive Drums 2 - Mac running Logic X -

Issue is - Plugin is receiving Midi - But - No sound is coming out

Absolutely zilch - Anyone know what's up with it ?

 

Have you installed the soundbanks?

 

- 9 gig worth of data - I copied the: App & Sound Data folders over into the correct Addictive Drums 2 folder during the installation procedure ! I'm just getting silence here though - In Logic Ableton & The standalone app !
Seems really strange -

I'm almost convinced it's a mute button or fader down somewhere - I've tried though - every fader and mute button insight ? ZERO DRUM SOUND - No noise - Pops or clicks - No error Message - No nothing - For the life of me I'd say it's installed correctly but that some other thing haunts me !

Paid for ! No - I wish I had some money to pay for it - I'm flat out Broke right now - Haven't got two proverbial pennies to rub together -

If it wasn't for cracked plugin's I'd probably blow my own head off

Ok - Yeah I have that file - Its for pc I think ! Let me see if the keygen app will open it -

+1 for @RMorgan ..must run that... if there are old instances of AD on your hd.. or old associated files..
those need to be deleted and maybe do re-install... I had this issue recently as well

It has worked - But not all the sounds are there so to speak - Did you have that issue too ?

 

If you have the Sound Data folder installed in a custom place (default is: /Library/Application Support/XLN Audio/Addictive Drums 2/)
just make a Symbolic Link of that folder and all sounds packages will be there...

 

Try uninstalling it and removing every entry related to Addictive Drums from your computer. Then follow these steps:

1.First, move Addictive Drums 2 folder to desired location.
2.Run "AD2_Library_Placer.exe" in that same folder.
3.Only then, run setup.exe.

If you're on Mac, you probably should do things in the same order. Move the sounds folder to the desired location, run then "library placer" and only the install the software.

 

what @RMorgan said.. pretty much what I did.. traces of this program in various folders cause it to not load.. not work etc..

there are other threads on the same topic.. but @RMorgan sounds like he has it nailed..good luck !

 

cmon guys… Library Placer.exe ??? cannot work on Mac...

Yeah it will run using a Keygen opener On Mac

 

Addictive works for me on my El Capitan, note for installing
Library goes to /Application Support/XLN Audio/Addictive Drums 2/ not in XLN Audio folder
Could you open standalone GUI from /Applications ?

 

Of course but it will drive to nowhere on mac since the OS structure is completely different than on Win…
A kind of "Library Placer" for AD drum for mac is one of the options in XLN Online Installer,under "Advanced" button, anyway.
The funny thing is: it does create exactly that "symbolic link" of wich I posted above.
