I downloaded the Komplete 8 - Kontakt 5 Library from http://audioz.info/samples/kontakt-elastik-refill/37108-download_komplete8-kontakt-5-library.html

I've got all the parts from RS and I've extracted the winrar archives to (7) winrar zips which has given me (7) Factory Library Folders. In the folders is a contents folder and in there are archive.pax files, which I'e also un-compressed. I'm still not seeing the Kontakt .nkt etc files though.

Currently using my Win7 box as the download gave brief instructions for Win users.

Could somebody kindly shed some light on this please.

Thanks for your response. I've added a screen shot of the folder and you can see I've "un-compressed" the archive.pax - WinrarArchive file and it has produced an archive.pax - pax file which I have no programs to do anything with. . Perhaps I'm missing the point.

Right so I'm not sure what you're downloading bro. Kontakt 5 library? Trying to use it in kontakt 8? Do me a favour, leave that crap. Anything you want or need, go to the Russian site. Hopefully you know the one I'm on about, don't think I'm allowed to link it.

The famous Russian site we all use to get stuff.
Then.. type in kontakt factory and it will show you the most recent factory library, it's "factory library 2" the complete one, not the "select library".

That's a 100% trusted site and trusted library. On mozilla or chrome or whatever, download a page translator, easy as hell. Then you can read all the Russian shit and comments.

It literally has instructions on how to install everything. Also, not just kontakt but any vst, or kontakt library you can get there.

Leave all this pax shit, God knows what that shit is. Keep me updated with what happens, good luck.

 

Also, fuck komplete 8. Komplete 15 is out, download that man it's a hell of alot better. Edit: as in, download the instruments, don't think there's a link for the whole package right now
