I was searching for a better ad blocker than the usual adblock plus, which, lately seems to have become less effective, and i found this new plug in, i tested it and it s actually better than Adblock, it s even easier to use https://www.ublock.org/

More and more websites serve you popups that "you have an ad-blocker installed". I would like to kill that stupid popup somehow. I'll give uBlock a go just to see how it fairs with everything. I like that it uses less memory and that it works faster than ABP.

Install Greasemonkey (Firefox) or Tampermonkey (Chrome), and add the Anti-Adblock Killer script: https://greasyfork.org/en/scripts/735-anti-adblock-killer-reek Works great.

I tried uBlock for a while, but there were too many ads that I had to manually block. Plus, I really like the Adblock Plus Pop-up addon.

I had issues with µBlock too, but with uBlock Origin and Greasemonkey, all work fine since.
Totally agree with @VIVIsect , Anti-Adblock Killer Reek is a very useful script.

Yes it is good. I use
with adblock because both have strengths and weaknesses alone, but together, are very good. Also ghostscript...

I recently switched from using Adblock to using a modified host file I downloaded from an adblock site. Works relatively well and it bypasses adblock detectors. Only draws back are 1) manually updating your host file from time to time, 2) very few of the blocked ads still cause a blank pop-up window. You could use this in conjunction with your existing adblock too.

If you do decide to try this, remember to just add the block list to your original host file to keep your plugins from calling home.

A while ago I didn't want to deal with all those white-listed ads from ABP. uBlock Origin is just great. It works better and more reliable. I use it in combination with Ghostery.
Just make sure you get "uBlock Origin" and not "µBlock" as already mentioned, as those are 2 different products. Only the first one is developed and maintained by the original authors.

If you are using Chrome you should try Scriptsafe.it allows you to selectively block the java shite and other scripts that usually get around adblockers

thanks for the great recommendations. I don't use adblockers and those who do use, use it only when necessary. Ads help in generating money, it allows people to helps us for free. Also, using adblocker is not a good idea if you use premium link generators.

because recently adblock has become weaker and it doesn t bypass a lot of ads, besides with uBlock manually delting some ads is easier because it has a pick tool that allows u to clcik on an ad and eliminate it,with adblock the process is quite longer
