Hard to answer that given the vast array of plugins for different uses, but right now, quality-wise, I would say Kush Audio UBK-1. Since I started using it it's seen every single mix of mine - as a compressor, colourbox, special effect. Really cool plugin, always has something good to offer.

As a more "desert island" sort of plugin, I'll have to go with Ozone 7. Amazing suite.

This is one of the things I love of this place. You read an entry about one thing and end up learning more stuff than ever expected. Thank you people. Wholeheartedly. I have just bought my second HoRNet plugin. This VU promises so much for so little. I'm glad it is AAX native. If some of their other plugins were PT ready, I'd have bought them too.

 

I was exploring BIAS FX today and my setup was Klanghelm VUMT (solo) > BIAS FX > Klanghelm VUMT (solo) > VTM

I used the 1st instance to set my DI gain at 0VU, and I used the 2nd instance to monitor the output post BIAS FX, and I also added some trim to hit the tape plugin at 0VU. Finally I got a decent electric guitar sound out of an amp sim

then again: DDMF rocks! I use the 6144 and ChannelStrip quite frequently. Especially the channel strip ... it's got some very pleasing way of "driving" input hard. prefer it over Waves/Scheps 1073.

 

Omni 2 here as well. I wonder for those of us that uses Omni so much, if it finds itself on every track because we tell ourselves it is the best plug in my collection (It very well could be)? Either way, I will continue to abuse the SOAB.

 

+1 for Klanghelm MJUC, very nice compressor !

My favorite effect is certainly the Variety of Sound TesslaSE. A transformer saturation VST, but what a sound ! Wonderful used in parallel, like parallel compression. Check it out, it's free !
