    Hi all,

I want to ask you for some help or advice regarding the Antares bundle, specific about the Articulator plugin in Ableton Live 9.5.

For the plugin to work correctly and do its magic, 2 signals are required. One as normal input one as sidechain.

You need to see this (sidechain input active):
Which in my case is not shown.AU version (x64). Instead of this a normal audio input box is shown.
So i only get a normal input signal.
Then i looked up the Set-up guid which you can find in the Antares Avox 4 installer, but it did not help me at all. When i put the plugin on the bus and route a vocal signal to it i can choose 3/4 and 5/6 as input.
Tried some different combinations (effect rack, instrument rack, separate bus) but none of them works.

The sidechain option is an issue or was in Ableton when i was on windows regarding the Waves C6 plugin and many more with sidechain ability. So i switched to OS X. Now i am hitting a wall again. I really hope i could still use Ableton so i hope i do something wrong or that there is a trick to get it working.

I would like to get in touch with Antares support but i have no ilok key so i can not try the demo out.
Which lead me to Audiosex to ask for help or advice. I could try ask Antares my question but maybe this could be helpfull to others.

In summery, is somebody able to use Articulator in combination with Ableton Live correctly?

    Regards.

    :)

PS: i have contacted Antares about this, still i would like to hear your advice/comments of course!

    : 2 Mod's, please delete this one!

    Hey man,

I was always wondering how this was set up as wel. In some other DAWs this is pretty easy because of their own VST client wrapper.
Until recently i saw a great tutorial where i found out that it was pretty obvious how to activate this sidechain setting.
Your key input a.k.a. your sidechain signal is coming from a certain channel. So this channel signal needs to be routed to your specific plugin.

In your ins/out you can choose on the output section the channel you want to send it to and after that you can even open another seperate tab including the channels of your plugin.

This is the only way that i know how to even use any 3rd party plugin with sidechain inputs.

Hopefully this will do the trick for you,
Take care and have fun producing new music :)

Ah that's too bad man. Normally Live supports allot of things. (I know not everything, but still)
Maybe somewhere in the future this will be optional or available ?
Which DAW do you use now ?

Yeah, the website is incorrect i addressed it to support so i hope they adjust the supported host list.
For particular task i use Logic, but Ableton is my main DAW.
I am thinking about switching to Studio One, because i have no good hope that this is the last BIG issue with Ableton.
Going to be a painstaking process if a change my main DAW because i saved a lot of chains, presets and more for easy access.
And i mean alot of synths presets for easy access no more opening the plugin and brows to folder click click click click, just drag and drop instant juice :P

    We could speak dutch. :winker:

For this kind of routing, the best daw i've used is reaper.
Use it for editing then come back to ableton ...

I would like to have all processing options open and do not want to go back and forward. Maybe if i am much better @ producing then i know what i want exactly. For the moment it is often a trial error and discovering process/test.

Still have a long road to follow! Which i do not mind, although it is sometimes frustrating. But thats is my personality how i do things.
The long and hard way : ()

Why do you need the sidechain option for your antares plugin ?
Waar kom je eigenlijk vandaan ? Heb je toevallig ook wat werk online staan ?
