Nice production but a little too repetitive for me. Maybe try to include some variation in the melody rather than basically the same note all the time.

nice. it has that tropical / dark congo feel. I agree with the comment above, a bit too repetitive in the individual sections. it sounds kinda....compartmentalized? I'd suggest adding more ear candy to keep the listener engaged & entertained. Try doing filter sweeps to cut out certain sounds and bring others to the foreground. Your piece feels a bit....stop and go. Add some smoothness to it, let the listener go on a journey.....

keep it up! this is the start of something great!

Thanks for the suggestions, adding some cool modulation/new sounds every 8 or 16 bars is the next thing I was thinking of working on. Also going to add a vocal hook and work on the transitions.

    cheers

although electronic music follows the 8/16 bar beat, sticking to it blindly will make the music sound too repetitive. old school house/techno suffered from this a lot. with modern DAWs and unlimited inspiration online, this shouldn't be a sticking point anymore.

as far as modulation, look into soundtoy's echoboy. use it (or a similar plugin, there are a few) to do some subtle high-pass modulation. if you wanna get really fancy, bus a bunch of your tracks to a reverb, then modulate just the reverb. it adds nice subtleties that give the music flow & motion.
