The title is self explanatory I haven't had much time for music lately, but about a month ago I spent an afternoon playing with this, not perfect, but fun. Any comments are welcome!!!

Dave Grohl is dead?!! OMG! Does he know? Has anyone told him?

Thats a joke, super harsh and not to be taken seriously


Intro: Pretty good. Good and moody. The vocals are too clean and direct here too. Definitely too loud anyway.

Chorus: Good idea, bit similar to the original but fine. Problem is that its slightly underwhelming sonically. It works but just doesnt 'pop' as much as a chorus should. The vox line at the end of the chorus that goes "DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWNNNNNNN" ends abruptly. Try to have it end more organically. Maybe automate some reverb to build to the point where it cuts, or fade the volume out gently so it sounds more natural. Or delay.

Overall it has potential. A few edits to the arrangement and some other changes and youre onto a crackin lil tune.

Where did you get the acapella for this. Its studio quality?

Cheers for the comments, I agree with all of them, hehehe. This was just a bit of fun, thrown together in an afternoon, so with many imperfections.
I wish I could remember where the acapella came from. I have a habit of downloading a load of stuff that I think could come in handy at a later date, and often forget where the stuff comes from.

 

What can i say?...nice idea! I think a Marilyn Manson like distorted vocal sound effect would be great for the chorus. I would love to hear a completed version of this one.

I get what youre saying. I threw together a track with Metal Gear Solid dialogue on it and for some reason I love it. Its a blur of several things and by right it should be terrible but I love it.
