I believe first plugin by CFA SOUND, normally specialized in Sound libraries but this one looks like it will shine. Hope we see this one sometimes here soon ;-)

GRIP – Valve Drive Compressor
The brandnew GRIP valve drive compressor by CFA-Sound is a powerful dynamic processor, which delivers compression with character! The hybrid design features an accurate emulation of legendary german vintage tubes of the 1960s and a modern VCA compressor workhorse. Together they create a powerful fusion of both worlds – vintage and modern at once.

With the flexible and intuitive design, you can use GRIP as vintage compressor with the warm and rich sound of the valve tube circuit, or without to have a clean-as-possible compressor on your track. Both core elements featuring a mix control, so you can also make use of the famous “New York”/parallel compression. The free Filter grizzly2 from same dev is in fact very good and smooth sounding (http://www.resonance-sound.com/product/cfa-sound-filter-grizzly-2), but 32 bits only. I'm not in need of one more compresssor, but this "GripComp" could be worth a try. Thanks for the news!

 

Interesting, but the last example in the video sounds really bad. What on earth did they listen that material on to leave it like that?
