Does this adaptor support all models? I have a Korg 01w/fd from the 90s (with midi in-out of course), and I want to be sure that it 'll be shown at a pc with no midi interface.

I have an early 90s Alesis drum module D4 and it works without problems.I can assign any drum sample from Superrior drummer to the module or vice versa. It just reads midi and sends the information via the usb to your DAW.

It should work, the adapter just sends midi data to your computer,no magic there.

Even the cheapest midi-to-usb adapters should work ok without the need of any drivers at all.

I have that e-mu xmidi and I've used it on a few version of Windows just fine. At one time I had to hunt for drivers to get it to work, but as of Windows 10 it seems to work without downloading anything.

Some cheap interfaces don't work with real-time applications. You should be fine as long as you stick with well-knows manufacturers (like the E-MU one posted above).

i would stay far far away from the emu adapter, just looks like chinese product for 50 cents.
And the 5 euro ones are all the same. mine broke after some months.
its just a poor way to live, man.

and 50 for this one channel and 110 for this little other box? why dont you go for something normal?
do you really need to connect a footpedal like this?

( i have no idea, except dont invest in something too cheap)
myself ive been using the integrated midi interface of my RME fireface usb wich is rocksolid. (2 in /2 out)

just some examples, (havent tried any of those just some suggestions)
(you will need cool midi cables ;)

oh and this one looks kinda similar to your first suggestion, coincidence (even cheaper)

Hmm, some manufacturers are claiming that their product doesn't need any driver. That might lead to some kind of mess then

Well I used to have a pci mpu-401 device with no problems for the past 15 years. The new mobo I bought didn't have this option, so I must do it in another way. Thanks for the suggestions, I had thoses in my mind
