    I'm surprised at the HUGE difference between each of those, wow.

    I was suprised too, especially when I was mixing the snare, the differences in the high end were huge each mix. All I can say is that my favourite plugin ended up sounding worst for me this time, very dissaponted by the boxiness of the channel compressor...

    Apperently i read this statement from your earlyer comment

    I asked an SSL rep in NY, what they thought about the Waves versions when Duende dropped and he said, it isn't as good as Deunde
    because of the hardware Waves modeled their plugin from. Duende is the best SSL emulation

    Ok so it is YOU that say
    Duende is the best SSL emulation ??

    Apperently your memory isnt that good may need to stop taking drugs

    I bet 3rd is Waves, because it sounds as shitty as in that previous test....:rofl:
    I liked most 1st, because it sounded closest to not sounding destroyed, full mix wise:rofl:
    4th snare is bonkers :rofl:
    2nd It sounds abrasive, not glued together...
    Overall i kind of feel like I don't like all 4, but i would choose first one an tweak it:rofl:
    Places:
    1 = 1
    2 = 2
    3 = 4
    4 = 3
    Voting register at the top of this thread still has the previous votes, so unless you kept the order of compressors the same like in previous one, this one doesn't represent votes as it should.

    So we don't know which is which yet? Kinda intrigued to see how wrong we all are about which is which.
    Here's my guess:
    1 - t-racks
    2 - SSL WAves
    3 - Ni Solid Buss Comp
    4 - duende

    Which one do I like the best? maybe the 2nd one. maybe the 4th one. It's between those two.

    3rd one is god-awful. just god awful. I gotta know which one that is. I have a feeling it might be the waves ssl channel. if you do this again, use the waves buss comp next time, way better imo.

    1st one's not bad.

    Now tell us which ones are which already!

    Not my opinion. That's his.
    Next time, I'll put it all in quotes, for clarification.

    My advice is always for listener's, ultimately, do their own due diligence.
    Compare and listen to various manufactures and go with what they like.
    I've personally become fond of Acustica Audio's plugins and libraries and
    MY OPINION is they're some of the best sounding plugins on the market.

    By far, I vote for the 4th in my sound pref. More body, less arsh, highs are sweet and airy. I kinda like the verb like this too, it gives more movement to the sound and playing. We still keep a nice dynamic too. SSL ?
    I kinda like the 2nd one, too. T-Racks ?

    I hope you realise not all SSL branded plug ins are emulating the same gear. Duende models an entirely different type of SSL console..

    Based on the digital technology behind SSL’s C-Series consoles, Duende delivers the complete SSL mix experience – powerful channel and dynamics processing and the legendary Bus Compressor.

    Here's my original reply to be exact. It's pretty clear who's opinion it was.
