I'm embarrassed because I never saw your post, so I was agreeing solely based on seeing "go kill yourself" in claytr's comment. So I should be apologizing for not seeing your actual comment in context. Also, I'm not criticizing any comment except the one I quoted because I just don't think "not my thing" = "bad." I think some of ya'lls whitey tightys are bunching up and affecting your ability to distinguish a sense of humor. Can't understand how anyone who read this could think it had anything to do with suggesting the OP, or anyone here who likes this should go kill themselves....totally missed WF's attempt at humor aimed directly at the original producers, "control room" reference pretty much gave that away.

If I ever post some commercial song and exclaim that I love it & think it's the best thing since Mom's sliced apple pie, you can bet your ass I'll be ready and deserving of every varied comments ya'll will sling my way, and not be butt-hurt in the slightest. Actually, I'd be disappointed if it was any other way!!

I really don't like it. Yeah, you can't go and share something like this on a forum like this and expect a good reception. This is generic dance pop for mass consumption. Everything about the song is predictable and generic. The only surprise, and it is not a pleasant one, is that "like it" is repeated ad nauseum. For it to do well on the charts, which would not surprise me, IMO you would need to add more variation. Cut all the repetition, change the melody at least once. Don't have everything doing the same thing.

Also - I know this chord progression. Where is it from? It's also a piano dance track. Anyone know? It's probably from a million things.

Believe it or not, I wasn't necessarily referring to your comment. I personally thought that was kind of funny. I don't know if you were talking to me about going into your history, but I also did not do that lol. I've frequently seen people on the web actually tell someone to go kill themselves because their music annoyed them. You did not offend me at all by saying that. But I was clarifying this for any Audiosexers who may want to take a similar route with criticism. No one should ever feel unwanted or unloved and be told to go kill themselves. The reason why I felt the necessity to do this was that I was thinking of a loved one who committed suicide and their 3 year anniversary of doing so wasn't long ago at all. They did it solely because someone repeatedly told them to go commit suicide, and so they listened. I don't want such a thing to happen to anyone at all and if there's anything I can do to prevent such a thing, I will go out of my way to do just that. The person who I lost would have been almost 24 by now. I could never unsolicitedly wish such a thing upon anyone at all, and I only stepped in on that *just in case* you were referring to another AS member. Although I was aware the chances were slim of this being the case, anything is possible especially on the internet. You did not offend me. But I did see some members on AS and AZ tell another member to go kill themselves very recently. I won't mention names, but it's not something everybody takes lightly. Some people actually end up doing it - it happens when and where and whom you'd least possibly expect it to happen to.
No harm done. Nor any offense done, mate.

I have lost several good friends that way. So, I do understand. The history thing is not worth explaining. It wasn't you, but boy what a strange coincidence and it really got to me. I have enjoyed many of your posts in the past and I was really somewhat stunned when you took it the way you did, but it makes sense now. As you said......no harm done nor any offense.
