I don't know what you guys mean by the Indian violin but there is this instrument that sounds too good. Its called Sarangi.

I imagine sampling it isn't going to be a breeze.

I always seen Indian musicians playing with occidental violin but Indian way, like this:

But sure a library from Sarangi would be amazing too.

 

yeah its an awesome sounding instrument !!!

 

From a library producer's perspective, the Sarangi and Indian violin are doing the same thing. Lots of micro bends of varying lengths. There is a Sarangi in East West RA but it does these articulations pre-baked which is very limiting.

may be wat you think is true abt Medrewb, may be not, indian music is very difficult to sample and try to achieve complete authenticity, this lib may the steps in right direction in attempt to sample it, the awesomeness of indian music lies in small nuances/varition of the musician itself which cant be generalised and sampled!!!!
