Even though I use the uninstaller I still manually go and check everything, so I know i am not missing THAT part of it. I did get ahold of both 27 and 24, however, I AM curious as to if 24 is the correct one. There are TWO patches in the 24 I have, one is contained in a directory with the files : "BASSMOD.dll, bgm, Patch (which is a small weird little icon) and R2RTOOL.dll. Now, I tried this one AND the other one (that looks like every other patch icon / directory container wise) and it didn't seem to make a difference. The log file is showing me that only maybe every other plugin is being patched when its run its course, but still i hit the license center, local license, copy the number into 27 KG and paste in the appropriate dir, hit refresh, and nothing shows up at all under registered licenses.

Yes I did wrote and you quoted me. I already wrote about Teamviewer since you can't make it. My post was ignored but the next guy who copied my idea of course you would write him email... and no I don't care at all about your prize. Just the principle.

Teamviewer allows someone else to control your pc remotely. No offence but you must be noob if you don't know that.

None taken, when it comes to THAT aspect of things I am, sure, when it comes to Audio Production / Engineering, I am not, but hey I am still trying to learn more and more every day about anything and everything! :)

You run the v9r24 patch that is an application with the V9 logo and "apps" written at the bottom of the logo. The importance of running the separate patches consecutively is that the v9r27 patch picks up the general plugins, and the v9r24 patch picks up the signature series plugins. And of course "after" running these patches you will grab the Waveshells from Program Files (x86) Waves\Waveshells and use them to replace the ones in the 6 according VST folder locations I listed above. If you don't use 32bit plugins or AAX for example you can delete those Waveshells from their plugin folders completely and only put the patched Waveshells in the plugin directories you are going to use.

I still simply just use R2R patch from v9r24 and I don't bother with Waves Service Center at all. I just install it without it. It works. The WSC is just pain in the butt and it might be the problem for versions newer than v9r24. So maybe it's a solution for you to just install v9r24 Waves the old way that is described in its R2R.nfo.

When you manage to get v9r24 Waves working properly, you may try to install v9r30 over it and crack it the same way.

    Cheers!

Man this is really unreal...I reinstalled my whole system (win7 x64) 5 days ago, and I had to reinstall all my plugs. On my last system I had waves r28 I think and I updated to r30 and it was indeed a shitstorm, but I managed with dbmusik tips to fix it...But this time since I had no previous installation I installed the r30 (the r2r release directly), and I had no problem at all and no need to install stuff before, after or whatever...
That 's how I did it : first (and I write that because and I didn't read any mention of it in your post) I blocked "register.waves.com" by editing my hosts file, than I installed everything (mercury, abbey, SSL)...I didn't reboot at that point and went directly for the r2r patch which did its thing without a problem, but at this point, I directly open waves licence center (which should say on opening "important : a connection error has occured, please check your internet connection, etc, blabla", that's because of the blocked "register.waves.com" and that's good), I click on "local licenses" (top right) and copy my machine id (the first one on the left), than close license center and use the included r2R keygen to generate .wle licence and put it in programdata\wavesaudio\licences...Relaunch licence center to check if it worked, than closed it...
But at this point what I do is to copy the shell2vst tool in the directory where the r2r waveshells vst2 x64 are (the tool only works with vst2 unfortunatly not vst3) which is "program files (x86)\waves\waveshells and there I do the procedure with the shell2vst tool ont the vst2x64, which creates a folder with the individual vsts...This is what I copy in my vst folder that is scanned by my daw (plus this way I organise them the way I want)....But I have to leave all r2r waveshells in their original location (and delete all the original waveshell from waves in all my default vst folders (in Programmes and Program files : "common files\vst3" and "steinberg" in windows where waves copy them when you installl). Then it all works...
What' very surprising in your situation is that you can't patch at all, I never saw or had this issue, it has to be something that is installed on your system (anti virus, or something) that keeps you from executing correctly this patch.

I hope you manage to sort this, good luck !

It must be something very simple that you do, or don't do, that makes it not work for you. From experience... it happens to the best, don't worry. But it is hard for me to tell you what it is. You must retrace your steps and find it yourself. You know - when it works for others, and it doesn't work for you, it must be something you do that's wrong. Pure logic.

It'll come to you, don't worry. Maybe take a break, go outside, do something else, then come back to it later and do it again.

    Cheers!

edit: excellent points Talmi! Especially the last paragraph about what he has installed. It could be an antivirus. All my computers [and for my clients] are disconnected from the Internet and I never use any Antivirus as a policy. I install either VirtualBox with small Windows XP lite for them that they can use for Internet, or dual boot with Debian Linux for Internet. it's really quite senseless, even stupid, to use your DAW PC for Internet. It means you don't care about your work and if it gets lost. I've encounterd viruses that simply don't leave you with any other option then to completely reformat the HD and reinstall everything and I'd be very cautious about what and how I backup the data from such infected drives.

Yeah, up until now my problems have been minimal man, I had the network card issue, but that's it. But now since I have moved to my custom built system, its all hellfire and brimstone, I just don't get it. I don't get online with that CPU at all,its strictly for production / engineering, so I would figure it would make shit even EASIER but fuck I guess not, I will see what I can do as far as trying to use some of your tactics, at this point I dont care how it gets done as long as it gets done. I have been contemplating maybe asking if one of ya'll would send me over the pre patched files? Since the patching seems to be the issue, kinda, I assume I cant do the reg because the files are not properly patched. Thoughts?

Same thing works when you feel like the mix is going nowhere, eh? Just chillax for an hour or so.

Regarding the prepatched files, I think they get custom patched for everyone's PC differently, so it's of no use to send you those.

So I just tried to do W9-24...... Same result. the patching nfo looks like all the rest, and in fact I am attaching the log file from it so maybe you guys can take a look at it? I really think at this point my best bet may be to have one of you guys send me the files already pre-patched, verified as working. i dont knwo what else to do, but all the same I am still down to try any other suggestions! Thank you all for everything sof ar!!!

A piece of R2RLog from W9-24 - This pretty much looks like every other log as far as so many things NOT being patched.

Don't worry about the "not patched" dlls, that's normal. What is important is that Waveshells and plugin dlls that need to be patched get patched and they do. Your logfile looks alright. So it's what you do afterwards that doesn't work out. After running it as admin and patching the files with the R2R patcher all you have to do is [per R2R instructions from R2R.txt but less complicated looking]:

    1) copy the patched Waveshells to your VST directory [usually c:\Program Files\VSTPlugins] or point the DAW software you use to the "C:\Program Files (x86)\Waves\Waveshells\" to use them.
    2) After copying the Waveshells you should open the Waves License Center and write down/copy the ID number of your PC, close the WLC, and paste the ID number into the R2R keygen. Press "generate" and you'll get a license file that you copy into C:\ProgramData\Waves Audio\Licenses and that's it!

You can check that it works by opening the Waves License Center again and then by starting your DAW, of course.

It should work. I've done that more than a couple of times... it never failed. On Wndows 7 that is.

What SineWave said is the real deal. He misses the point when he has to copy the waveshells to right location and license file to right location.

SineWave cheers! Hope you get your 'PRO' tutorials.

I don't need any tutorials or mixing/mastering, though. I do it myself.

I like to help people. and I do it on the side anyway. Local VST/DAW "know it all".
