I know begging is not allowed but I am really asking for a member to help me get some nasty kicks in my arsenal. I have been working hard these past years and am getting better daily but I cannot find decent subby deep big ass kicks. Whether its for Trap. House. Big Room. Most of the kicks I find in packs sound flat and dull. I really will appreciate any help from the community or someone to teach me or which packs to purchase. thanks. I need to start saving good kicks in a separate folder. Do a lot of you guys have a special folder for your go to kicks/snares/hi hats/ etc ?

For ready big room/electro kicks i recomend the SAMPLE TWEAKERS ones, they really sound "round" and powerfull (most of them reaches -6 RMS without clip), their subs are clean and they are easy to mix because they aren't over-compressed or over-distorted, you really should check them...

And for other styles I recomend the KICK by Sonic Academy, It comes with some nice and usable presets to various styles and you can tune them to your track key.

Kicks you hear in your favourite songs are greatly mixed to go nice with the other elements of the mix and the whole impression will be greater if the kick was shaped in order to suit that particular song.

When you hear a kick sample that sounds hugely-awesome on its own, be sure that it's not going to sound the same when you lay it around the other elements of your song, so you'll have to treat it accordingly and
"direct" the whole elements of your mix like you would direct a whole movie. Every piece in your song must have its purpose and a story behind it.

P.S. a "special" thing to mention though: you can't have cake and steak and curry all blended in the same bowl or eaten all at the same time. If you do so, you won't be able to enjoy the whole sweetness of the cake, you won't be able to enjoy the steak's lovely taste and neither the curry's seasoning because the whole fussion breaks the focus on either of the dishes. You should consider this theory when you produce/mix as well.
