using apollo twin as satellite ?

    is must i connect uad hardware to get plugins working ???
    i planing to buy the uad apoolo twin and i just need to know can i using apollo twin as satellite ?
    using protools hd hardware with it ?
    i must connecting the hardware to get plugins working ?

    You can use UAD plugins with your Apollo, it has 2 integrated DSP like UAD Satelite Duo
    You don't need an extra UAD Card/Satelite if you don't need extra power

    the idea is to make the apollo twin works like plugin box only if i go to another studio and want to lanch my plugins

    Yes, Welmixpro...You can use the Apollo Twin just as a UAD 'Plug-in" box if you so choose. Your computer will see it (After you load UAD OS software) the moment you plug it in Via Thunderbolt or USB and then you can use the Solo or Duo chips to run UAD Plugins.

    Yes, it will work like a satellite, it's the same thing + audio i/o

    Thanks for answering but i have another qusetion if i run a session and the ilok connected but uad hardware not connected and have some uad plugins in the session is it makes the plugins or sound disable i mean if i open a protools sessions having uad plugins i must connect the hardware to get a sound is it right ?

    Yes. If you are using any UAD plug-ins they will not work until you plug the Apollo back in.
