    I've always been a bit bashful to post music, but here it goes
    anyone have some tips on this track? it's only 30 mins in the making. I can't mix the bass properly with these headphones gdmmmnitt!

    Not my genre, but I suppose the bass should have been more powerful. I can give it a try, compressing it a bit.

    That's an interesting soundscape.. or should I call it "soundscoop"? :)

    Over here it sounds like you have a sub bass note that's not tuned to the scale of your melody (try the root), then you have zero bass and cranked treble...

    What I am trying to say is "yes, maybe you should retire those headphones" :rofl:

    IMO Screaming bass... -2dB Q1 shelf 8.8/11K and TDR Nova GE (or something similar) to enhance mids just a little bit. Track side is too loud so the mid needs more body.

    You need new headphones: GRADO SR60e.

    just my 2cents.

    You have a good ideia there.
    I have listen on my ATH-M50 and it seems that everything is screaming every where and the samples you used are distorting.
    try some different kicks in combination with some 808s, and allways try to choose some good quality samples.
    Choosing Good quality samples makes your job easier.

    I like what @Introninja did it's way more pleasent to the ear.
