A: For a Federal Agency to do that, they would have to have a warrant to do so. And if that was the case they would have already come and taken your computer.
B: If all you did was download things, they couldn't get a warrant to do this. You'd get a letter in the mail from your ISP before anything like that would even be brought up.

In all honesty someone played a joke on you. Whether it was from a site you dl'd from or a file that had hidden programs or a friend laughing at you for freaking out.

I suggest you run a malware/virus sweep or roll back your OS to a restore point before you installed it.

oh man i feel much better you should of seen my reaction i freaked out i almost started packing to head out to mexico.btw i scanned my pc no virus found.. man i almost shartted...good thing this may have been a joke..cuz if it was i got punked and the funny thing was once all this happened my house door was locked and my girl was trying to get in and she started kicking the dam door ...it took me about 2 min to open until i herd here voice she chuckled reading WHAT ARE YOU SMOKING??

On the serious note [really], it must be the malware/trojan thingie. Just download Kaspersky virus removal tool and let it do it's job, then remove it. It's not worth it having stupid antivirus software running all the time. It's the same as having a virus, if you ask me.

and opened hundreds of popup ads on his desktop (at login -- without evoking IE) -- the popup ads were for 'popup blocker
& spyware removal software' hehehehehe !

Besides, if the Feds really wanted you -- they wouldn't waste time scaring you --- they'd just stop by the crib and kick in the fucking door
