Hello everyone!

I need a suggestion for a software that can receive and restore a memory dump in Windows 7 x64 from and to my Roland A-90

Till now I used MIDIOX in Windows xp, and have had no problems, but that is the only reason why I still have a partition with xp on my system... I`d like to get rid of it, if there is an available alternative to MIDIOX that works on W7 x64 .

(the simpler, that better )

 

How about Sound Quest Midi Quest? Have you tried that?

but It is to complex as software for my taste, and it doesn`t support the Roland A-90

I need something simple, just for a memory dump (and restore)...

Anyway now I know.

Yes the the software is daunting I find, but it is pretty powerful. But if it doesn't support the A-90 then no dice with that.

Thanks @floond @Rasputin my only concern is "can easily test small Sys Ex requests"
The A-90 bulk dump is pretty large
anyway, i will try it

Download "C6 Sysex Manager"

Should work well

 

Np mate, I don't think a large dump is any prob. The displaying of midi event replies is probably best suited for smaller tests though, but of no concern for dumps

 

Can`t find the C6 Sysex manager ???
...under Accessories i get only some bags, t-shirts, sound packs and some cables ???

Did C6 work with your A-90?

 

Tried as first the SendSX, and it does the job, so I did not installed the others.
